Thank you for posting this. Great idea bringing all (most) toppers. I've recently been really enjoying my KFL plus and I can see how the boost feature would be helpful.I went to try the P3 today. It was hard to give it back. If you change your wattage or voltage often you will likely think its fiddlely. I rarely change settings so its good for me.
I took with me a Kayfun with a 1ohm coil. And a Nautilus and a ProTank2, each with a 1.8 ohm head. Had I not missed that part about an adjustable center pin I would have also taken my Magma. However, the owner of the store says the long 510 is no longer an issue.
I like the way it looks. It reminds me of the simple design of the v2 satin silver. The Made in US and ProVape engraving on the top cap is small and unobtrusive. I like that the extra sections are included to get all 3 sizes.
I figured out the menu after a minute or two of playing with it. The choice of button color is fun, and does not apply to the screen color. To change volts or wattage is a similar button press as before. Its in -0.1 increments.
The boost feature was nice with the Kayfun. It fires high for a bit to heat the coil, then goes to what you set. With the 2.5 I have noticed the battery shows voltage drop immediately after its changed, and sometime lower ohmed coils are a bit wonky. Not so with the P3. I fired the 1ohm coil at 15w with no errors. And I like that the battery remaining shows on the screen.
The Nautilus did well too. And the ProTank2 was fine, too, but looks weird with the new endcap.
The only thing I did not play with is the Profiles. I would probably set 1 for each topper I typically use on it. My coils remain similar each time I build one or change a head. That would take care of some of the fiddling needed to choose ones voltage or wattage.
Overall, I really like it and will be buying one.

The geeky part of me wants to go out to my nearest dealer and plop down over 3 bills to buy the beta from whoever will sell it to me sight unseen. Power boost, cool display, variable wattage, adjustable 510 connector....ooooooooooooh, my toilet is just itching to flush that bad boy.
The common sense part of me tells me I have two highly capable, high quality, nearly indestructible units that have already passed the dunk test, and since I don't need all that eye candy, I should use my money to buy something else....
Eye Candy: For my 2 year tobacco free celebration present(s) I tentatively entered the world of mechanicals. I have to say the Gus Kiss Qorax Edition is the most beautiful mod I have ever held. (SHHHH! Don't tell the 'Varis or BoBo!)
DAMMIT. Now I'm kinda sorta starting to want one.
But I don't love the look.
Still, I know what'll happen - they come out with Zenkote Gunmetal with a matching ProVarinati bottom cap, or some teardrops, or a flying monkey instead of the <P3> and I'll have to have it.
Or something like that.
I thought about holding out to get a stainless steel polished version(and the off chance of a different logo, although the current one doesn't bother me that much), but then 2 thoughts occured to me:
1. The satin silver is the best as far as not showing scratches and stuff over time.(At least in my experience)
2. When I look at my Provari, all I ever see is an atomizer poking up from my fist anyway.
I haven't been a Provari owner long (about a month) and yet I've already purchased two (though I just sold one in order to get a P3), but when I bought my first one, I got the polished finish. It lasted as long as it took me to get in my car and I realized the polished finish was a finger print magnet and it would drive me bonkers (I redefine OCD), so I turned around and immediately exchanged it for Satin Silver. My second 2.5 (a blem device I just sold) is Satin Silver. The P3 I'll be buying, will be Satin Silver. It's a terrific finish and seems far less susceptible to scratches and finger prints. It's the perfect finish for the OCD impaired!
In 3 years(assuming no truly epic happenings), you will still appreciate the clean look of that satin silver too. I know I do. I got a satin silver and a chrome Provari, back when they were still offered in chrome instead of polished stainless. I passed on the chrome to another, and kept my satin.
Owner of two Satin Silvers here too. Not only do they seem to hold up better (no paint to scrape, better at hiding minor scratches). They also are the least expensive of all ProVari's. And 20 bucks saved on a paint job means 20 bucks for something else.
My Brushed Stainless steel Kayfun's look awesome on them.
Hmmmm. A P3.... I know it's an awesome device. That power shot thing sounds really groovy. But is it $100 better than my V2.5's??? I already have two V2.5's do I really need to spend over 3 bills for a third mod????!!!??
Now if ProVape wants to send me a P3 for a used v2.5 and a Benji, I'll put both in the mail tomorrow.
Glad to finally see it out, and see the care and attention to detail they put in the device. We'll see what pricing ends up being. If a P3 ends up being close to $300, then a Satin Silver V2.5 will seem like a bargain at $159.00
Let's NOT assume the P3 is going to be 3 bills. That really would put it out of reach for many and I honestly think it will stifle sales, which I don't think Provape wants to do. I do expect it to be more expensive, but hopefully, not that expensive.
I'm sure I could continue with my 2.5 and continue to be a very satisfied camper. I will use it as my backup, but I'm the kind of guy who get's the newest iPhone on launch day. And if I don't get the P3, it will stick in my side when I see people posting how cool their new P3 is. That's why I sold my blem 2.5, which is only a couple weeks old. But then I got almost every penny I paid for it, so it's not like I lost but a couple dollars.
I feel ya. If ProVape has a trade in program (currently they said there's no upgrade available because simply you can't reuse the older tube and put in a new board)
But a TRADE IN program.. That's something I'm interested in. Haven't put any of my babies up on the classies yet since I still want them to backup each other. But once pricing comes out, I'm sure I'll either put the standard up for sale (Mini is more versitile with extension tubes) or trade it in for a P3.....
Gawd I hope they have a trade in program. A P3 as my primary driver (with all the tubes included) and then my V2.5 Mini with it's extension tubes as a backup...Each one able to go to any size battery I wish.......Ohhh....how sweet it is....
