And you are awesome. Your post got me to go dig in my parts drawer and I had these from a older smok octopus rda and yes they do stick out a little, but way easier to change out the battery. They don't really seem to be getting in my way. I will have to use them for a bit to see.

So I may have found a simple solution for the screws on the back door. I ordered knurled screws for my Kayfuns 2 days ago from FatDaddyVapes.com - Home of the best vape tweaks and replacement hardware. - Home . These are made so when building the kayfun you do not need a screwdriver and you can just spin them in a lot quicker. Well it just popped into my head that the screws on the back door are the same exact screw. So I only have 2 Kayfuns and they come in a pack of 6 so ill have 2 left over for the ipv2. Yes they will stick out a little on the side but if it makes it easier to take them out I will not mind. For $5 I think it may be a great solution. I will post picks as soon as they come in. Lets keep our fingers crossed!!

Guys..is it confirmed 100% that they are the same size as those of the kayfun posts?? if that's the case would a couple of regular kayfun post screws solve the problem? is the problem with the screws that the metal they're made of is softer? Can someone please try a couple of spare kayfun screws and get back to us?

Another question I have is would the Panasonic t NCR 18650B work on the IPV2? it's a 3400mah battery after all.

No..... That's a protected battery.... Protection circuitry trips off at 6.7A. I wouldn't recommend it unless you're sticking solely to lower than a 6ish amp draw.

P.s. Mah isn't remotely the most important thing to consider when buying batteries

Folks on the other threads have confirmed. The dimensions are M1.6; and you're looking for a length of 3mm to 4mm. The stock ones are 4mm, but the 3mm also works.

Great..I have the screws, now I need to order the device..LOL

I just received 10 screws from fatdaddy..regulars not the knurled ones..and I've been hesitant of getting the IVP 2 because of the back plate screws issue and the need to switch batteries or lay it aside while it charges..and of course wait till the hype is over and it gets to be in stock..now by the look of things by the time I find them readily available the IPV 3 will be already out :))))

If you can resist the shinyitis, and have other devices, you're probably better off just waiting for the ipv3. I mean I don't care about the extra 50watts (lololol) BUT the dual 18650 is to die for.

That's exactly my reason Kiwi..oh well..just a few more weeks...unless of course the new Provari hits the stores first!!

I had to use a kayfun screw while I was in the shop today because I lost mine on the floor and didn't have my extras. Its not really the fact that the machining of the screws are bad in any way its the fact they are so small. The Kayfuns are just as small so it really makes no difference, at least to me, which one is in the back plate. They both do the same thing, hold the back plate on. Actually the Kayfun screw off one of the clones is actually smaller than the original screws. The only reason the Kayfun screws were mentioned is because someone lost theirs and did not receive the extras in their package. The reason I'm getting the knurled screw is because I don't want to have to have a screwdriver out every time I want to switch batteries and so I will not drop them as easy.

Oh ya my jwrap came in!!!

:(....

Can you post information on your ipv?...number inside box, vendor?

LO321 Vaportek. A 1.6 ohm coil set to fire 12 watts reads 2.4 ohms and applies 5.3V. Resistance ranges 2.4-2.6. Device back on a regular ohm meter....yup it's 1.6. I had a .5 build in a kayfun and it read a broad range of resistance after charging. Shorted the coil set to fire 15 watts with all the voltage she had captain.

Hmmm... I wonder if this is a SX330 issue or a P4Y issue. pbusardo kinda ripped the device and makes me question either P4Y or the SX330 in general. Not saying that pbusardo is the bees knees but we (him and I) are very much alike vape style and when he trashes an item I take notice. IMO I can look over the box issues with gaps, glue, and such as they can be corrected but incorrect ohm readings or auto firing with the touch pad is a no-go to me.

Sorry to be jumping in late if this has already been discussed. I am in the market for a box and this thread hit my radar.

The reason I bought the IPV v2 was not so much the 50 watts output as the ability to regulate down to 3.6V. Once it reads the resistance and you adjust the power to fire 3.7V it then rereads resistance much higher and applies way too much voltage. You can't turn it down from there. I tried several different devices with the same end result. It just read a .6 coil to be 4.3. It wants to apply 8.5V for 17.5 watts

He got a lemon. To put things into perspective:

He loves Hana Modz, but there are hundreds of dissatisfied customers that have similar or worse issues with their Hana box than the ones Phil found on his IPV. Needless to say, the Hana sells for roughly $150 more than the IPV, which makes them even worse.
