I got some of those high bridge 801 attys and I hated it. They totally squish the filler material down waaaay to much for my taste. It seems that if I filled my cart like i normally did, then push it on the atty, all i got for the first 3 or 4 vapes was juice in my mouth....alot. I was going to order some low bridge ones instead. Never had that problem with those and I filled my carts just as full. Anyone ever have that problem with excess juice with those high bridge attys?
Yes, I have some of the "new" 510 atomizers and they have a much higher bridge.

They push the filler down a lot more and I have to make sure it is not quite as full when I put the cartridge back on after filling, otherwise it will squeeze out a fair amount of juice.

Hmmm could either be that when you vape your overheating the device that cause the plastic to sort of expand a bit?

I wish it was expanding but the plastic seems to be shrinking. Question is this, does the plastic on the carts shrink or expand when overheated? I wonder....... hmnnnn for sure!

So i just got my first bottle of juice today....E-smokey treats menthol and I just refilled a bunch of cartridges. Having looked inside and taken apart the carts, rinsed out the filler ect.....I kinda got a good understanding of exactly how the relationship of the filler, liquid and atty work together.

After vaping on a cart for a while and then getting that funky taste of a dying cartdrige I peeked inside and noticed the filler was pushed way back into the cart. I "packed" it against my hand to bring it out a little more, thus bringing more wetness to the atty...and it tasted better with more vape.. Ive been packing the whole thing from time to time (LED side down on my palm) and I swear this seems to draw some liquid towards the atty and push the filler closer making better vape.

Does anyone else do this or am I just smoking something??

Get it?? SMOKING SOMETHING??

Yup, been vaping 5 weeks today and just (re?)discovered that trick a couple days ago. Another analog habit that I can incorporate into the ecig touchy/feely ritual.

Just got my first e-cig this past Friday. Bought the Smoke Anywhere brand and am both amazingly impressed with it and amazingly disappointed! First off I can't believe how much like a real cigarette it really is (when it works)! The taste, feel and vapor are all very similar to the real deal. The big drawback is the fact that a cartridge is no where near the equivalent of a full pack of smokes!! If I puff on this thing off-and-on over the course of an hour it's dead! Cartridge seems to be equal to maybe four cigarettes max (which will make the thing pointless from a cost savings). Packing the cartridge definitely brought some of them back to life but for how long is as of yet undetermined. Should my cartridges be lasting longer? Do I have a faulty e-cig? Or is this simply what I can expect? Considering buying the Joye 510 kit as everyone seems to be impressed by that one. Really want this to work!

Your model has one of the smaller cartridges, and you are getting about what you should expect.

Read up in the RN4081 subforum as you might want to experiment with dripping...

As far as cost savings, you need to be refilling your cartridges with your own juice. That is what almost everyone winds up doing. Not only will you save tons of money by doing that, but you will have a much wider selection of flavors and nicotine strengths available to you.
