I had this paranoid moment about my Provari. I've seen some where the coating was a little worn out and didn't really mind that. I even ignore all the nice wraps since that's not the issue for me. I was, however, thinking about the display window possibly getting scratched up and found a super special on "invisible shield" for an older discontinued tablet. At 4$ I figured I could cut a good dozen protectors for a Provari display window out of it, so I did just that (well, one for now :D). I also cut out a piece for my watch while at it... works great despite I'd need a die for a perfect match, but I have to say it is really nearly invisible.

Has anyone else gone to extremes to protect some aspect of their gear??

Best purchase for my Provari's has been the wide base end caps by Tatroe Mods. Mine came from CigTech, but I believe Provape sells them now too. This protects the Provari from falling over when using a top-heavy juice attachment (RBA or glass cartotank). I even use this on my Mini Provari when I carry it in my pocket (tank side in first - upside down).

I don't know if it's an extreme but if a mod has natural grooves in it, I'll put o-rings on it. That way when I set it down flat, it keeps it from getting scratched or worn when it's on the desk because it just rests on the o-rings.

I should have thought about that!

@Talyon, Laylel, Myrany: I am personally thinking of making a pouch out of stretch fabric for extended pocket carry, but I like the polishing pouch idea for those who have mods with a metal finish.

@ Nermal: Thanks. I'm totally sold on Invisible shield right now.

@Batitude: I'm not crazy about the idea of putting my mod tank first into my pocket, but I'm definitely getting the enlarged base when I get my second Provari (one for the road and one for home).

@realsis: You don't need the most expensive to baby your mod. After all, it saves us so much money and trouble.

I don't have a provari but I like to protect what I do have.

Me either. I'm a mechanical guy.

It really doesn't matter what mod you have, we all pick what WE want, not what the others want and I'm 100.01% certain everybody loves their mod (or plain e-cigs for that matter). The question is what do you do to protect them?
