If your battery goes dead and you can't wait for hours for it to charge while driving, can you hook the passthrough up to the car USB charger and vape away?
As long as you have a car to usb adapter I'm almost certain you can. when I was considering getting a 510 folks on here told me to get a passthrough and a car to usb adapter to be able to use it driving.
what passthrew? does it have a inline battery? if not you can run it at 5volts. with a 5v 2a usb adapter. i have the car and the wall adapter. turn you pt into HV!! if ur looking for one pm me
A USB passthrough makes it possible to use your personal vaporizer without a battery. USB passthroughs come in 2 types, a 3.7 volt in-line battery model, and a 5 volt non-battery model. Personally, I prefer the non-battery model at 5 volts. I have never felt comfortable plugging my USB passthrough into my computer, so I now use the AC wall adapter. All of the adapters should be rated at 2 amps (2000 ma) to supply the needed power to the USB passthrough. Walgreen's carries the DC to USB car adapter Ac Wall Adapter can power the USB passthrough at Home
Quite agree with the above. Higher current is better, but I have 1amp (labelled) usb adapters, mains and car, and they work fine with 3.7 and 5 volt PTs.
I tried my 3.7 volt passthrough connected to my car, and the light at the end blinked but still didn't work. Maybe there wasn't enough current coming thru with the car idling?
not likely unless your alternator or battery on your car is bad, most likely your car usb charger is inadequate. make sure its rated at 1 amp or better. if you just go out and buy a cheap one without a label its probably low amperage.

I don't know what mine is rated for, but on another site, their $4.50 ones are only rated at 500 mah. I'm assuming this one is the same deal. does anyone know where to get the higher rated ones?
