That's probably a wise decision. Paypal is evil, it was created by the devil, lol. :)

I wouldn't say that...the idea of PP is great..the ability to make anonymous micro-transactions is what's needed these days. The problem with PP is they have a monopoly on it (and are owned by Ebay if I'm not mistaken). There needs to be some competition or they will never get any better.

I believe that google and amazon have the same type of thing going on like paypal, but no one uses it.

It's all good, I owe PayPal $2,000 and they will NEVER see a dime of it.

A month later I get a call from a collection agent, and she was not one of the nice ones. She said "you have a responsibility to pay your debt, so man up." I let out a long string of obscenities. I told her that PayPal stole from me, so there's no way they will ever see a dime. Ever. I told her that she might as well hang up, toss out my collections info, and move on to the next one, because I refuse to put money into PayPal's hand after they got caught with that same dirty rotten hand in the cookie jar.

She hung up, and I never heard from them again.

How's that affect the credit rating?

I think you are right, but the difference there (I think) is that you need to be a merchant and all kinds of things to use the Google Checkout. Paypal works well because you can simply send money to almost anyone with only their email address.

I quit on Paypal a couple years ago because of terrible customer service. But now I need it to buy a couple vaping-related things, so I reactivated my account this morning. Do you see what you people are driving me to do?!

On the plus side, it turns out when I quit there was several grand in my account. So they got a free loan, but now I have a slush fund. :)

In the beginning pp did not have a phone no.! "cs" was evidently handled by secretaries without any power to fix anything. pp could not get worse ...
so it is better now.

Guess when some will deal with pp again ... lol

umm it doesn't?
Is this all you gathered from this thread?

It's so hilarious how PayPal CONSTANTLY tries to get me to link my bank account with them. Yeah right, like I'm gonna do that. Why do they want access to my bank so bad? I watch my back. I don't do ANYTHING unless I know I'm not getting screwed over, because I'm the type of person to let things get WAY personal..... cause 'n effect. Action=reaction. Get my drift? Why oh why do ppl feel that they are safe behind a business or computer screen to commit fraud or start drama? I'd love to be the first to break the barrier. Wanna help Paranoia? lol
(No, Elendil, it's not a threat. Pfft. lol)
