Penelope v1 had a tight draw which allowed liquid to be sucked easily. V3 is different.

So, is it better to put the cotton in the channels or to cut it flush with housing?

I have that kind of setup at the moment-I wonder if cotton in the channels would work better
I got mine today and just thought I'd try this setup first, although I cut the wick maybe 1.5mm outside the deck. Didn't finish the first tank yet but with the MP turned once I didn't have any issues. The draw is new to me also and I'm getting used to it as for me it's between mouth to lung and lung inhale, using it on a provari, nice vape... Cotton cut just outside the deck and tucked back against the top of the channels (not in them)....
Has anyone tried a micro coil with the chamber lightly packed with cotton? The cotton would still run through the coil but instead of blocking the wick holes directly they just collect incoming juice.
It seems I'm having some wicking issues. With a micro coil and short cotton wick I can't seem to find the sweet spot. Too wide open and it floods, choke it to much and dry hits. Whadya think?

Just got mine.
Great GG product once again.
I'm getting rather strong machine oil taste with mine-how should I optimally clean it?
I don't have ultrasonic cleaner
I recall reading in one of the threads here that Imeo is not in favor of micro coils?
If anything I bought my Penelope's for silica builds. I have mc-cotton setups in my Kayfuns too. Works great but for a lot of liquids I still prefer silica.
With the shallow channels I also think v3 is made for cotton only.
Also I would like a little stiffer draw.
Is there a way to make it stiffer?
I know you were talking about silica. I think imeo in a video said you can wrap tight and he didn't have a problem.
