New DIYer here.. Looking into my first purchase for flavoring. I'm trying to decide between TFA and Capellas.. I see more people talking about Capellas more than TFA, but TFA's pricing is much better.

Capella's has had a surge in popularity lately and rightly so as it seems easier for new mixer to be successful. Lots of different flavor brands out there and they all have a certain advantage depending on your likes. If you are a tobacco type then FlavourArt is a great start. I started out with TPA and they have some realy good flavors but some can take a bit of tinkering to get it right. I'm a tinkerer so TPA suits me fine and I have made some great stuff.

I've been doing DIY for nearly 2 years and 90% of what I use is Capella. I find their flavorings to be the best quality, they don't use perfume ingredients and they are easy to work with. For me TFA was difficult to find flavors that tasted like their names and I ended up tossing a lot of them. Capella has been much cheaper for me in the long run since I don't toss anything. I always recommend them to new DIYers because it's easy to get good results right off the bat. TFA is good if you want to learn DIY like cooking from scratch.

I'm new to DIYing too. Been at it for about a month. I have both TFA & Capellas. I personally LOVE TFA's Cola & Hypno (or Hpno). Both I find very bubbly. I also love Capellas for bakery flavors. I make a killer Cap's Apple Fritter (Chopper's recipe) + a touch of EM.
GoodDog, AZ & Hoosier are right, Capellas is forgiving. I made something too strong (Choco Fudge Brownie) & just downed the strength by 5% & it's great now (just added unflavored nic/PG/VG). I didn't ruin it or lose the batch. I haven't had that much luck with re-tinkering TFA flavorings. But I will figure it out because they have an extensive line of fruit & drink flavors which I love.
Some advice - Keep a good notes in a notebook. I made a wonderful Peachy Cola (TFA) & didn't keep notes. Now I can't replicate. Read Hoosier's blog notes-They're a great help.
You'll have fun & find yourself addicted to it before you know it.
I've yet to run into the 'Chanel No.5' issue
with Capella. Mon cheri, that's good enough fer moi!
If you're primarily a tobacco lover you may have to bite the bullet and use the more difficult to work with flavorings, but the rewards are proportional to the work 
I've tried the pineapple a few times and it's good at first but after steeping I'm not as crazy about it. Pineapple is my favorite fruit so I really do need to get this one figured out.
I use TPA sweetener and brown sugar extra with my TPA pineapple.
10% - TPA pineapple
2.5% - TPA brown sugar extra
2.5% - TPA sweetener

Odd. I liked it, it just wasn't anything to rave about. Not good nor is it bad.

I haven't tried the Halo Tribeca nor the RY4 Double. I have the TFA RY4 only. Any suggestions on what percentage to mix that? Please and thank you.
What is RY4 anyway? I keep seeing it but don't have a clue. I've gone to different flavor sites but seems kind of sketchy in the descriptions.
LOL! It is like beauty. What it taste like seems to depend on who is talking. I've read it was based off some type of watermelon that is highly regarded in China. It seems to be a nearly tobacco-y caramel and nut mix. I have purposely avoided it like it was a plague due to the nebulous nature of the thing.
It leads to cult like followings too...
