Newwell, nice to see someone with the courage to take on the leaf flavors. Tobaccos can be a challenge, without knowing which one you have the best advice would be start really low and let it steep at least a week before judging it. My suggestion is to do three different %'s and let them set for the week. As an example do a 1% a 3% & 5% or 1% a 4% & 7%. This will not only give you the three %'s you mixed, it will also allow you to mix two for a taste of the % between them (equal amounts of 1% & 3% is 2%). After tasting and deciding on a % I then mix them all together and make adjustment to bring it to the chosen %.
Thanks so much AZ. The flavoring I got was "Tobacco Flavor" by TFA not a real tobacco (I think). My major plan for the leaf is to use it as a secondary to fruits (peach, cherry, blackberry) to heft the flavors. Then if I'm successful I'll venture into a better tobacco juice.

I am reading as much as I can about tobaccos, but it is mind-boggling. I love your suggestion about mixing at 1,3,5 or 1,4,7. What an ingenious way of having every percentage. Are 3 ml tests enough?

Thanks again AZ :D

Yeah, 3ml batches work just fine. I do either 3ml or 5ml batches when I work up a new flavoring.

Couldn't agree more, solid backing and support from this Lady.
Never conversed with Linda, but I do love most of her flavors. It's taken a bit to get them figured out, but now that I have some experience I'm making some pretty good joooooooces. (I take no credit other than the measuring & guess-timating, the DIY mentors get ALL the credit.)

If I remember correctly, the shelf-life of TPA flavors is about 6 months and then they begin to lose flavor. Does this 6 month shelf-life apply to TPA's sweetener and EM also or do they last longer (since flavor is not the main objective). Hopefully I can get a year out of them since I order in 6 month cycles and would like to refresh flavors only.

Please tell me that is wrong info. I just bought 3 - 30ml bottles: Gingerbread, Chai Tea, and Cinnamon Spice.

That's just slightly more than 1 mixing session for me. (Used 75ml of flavoring this last weekend.)

I have a bottle of Pear that is over 6 months old. I haven't noticed any change in it. Vape is great this morning. (I got the 4 oz size because I really like that flavoring. On second thought saying I really like that flavoring is silly because it is obvious because I got the 4 oz bottle...)

in here somewhere USA
"This flavor does not need refrigeration, and will not spoil.
Shelf life is at least 6 months from when we ship it to you."

Perfumers Apprentice - Sweet Cream Flavor

That is under sweet cream flavor. I'm going to guess it applies to all flavors. If it still smells and tastes good it is okay to use. On the other hand, I bought a bunch of TPA through a different vendor, they were in plastic juice bottles, they did start to stink, and stink up everything at that. IDK for sure if they were really TPA or not that is what they were advertised and labeled, but I had them for a year and half to two years, well beyond 6 months. Keep them in the glass bottles, cool dry area, should be okay.

Az, I wanted to let you know that I tested my TFA Tobacco flavor today after a 7 day steep. 5% was very nice, slightly sweet, not much tobacco taste at all, but had a nice "body" to it that I think will go nicely with fruits to "bulk" them up.
1 & 3% were virtually tasteless, so for now they are a no-go.
I'm going to do a test at 7 & 9% just see what happens.

some of mine are over 6 mos old and no flavor loss....the van bourbon an bb xtra are a must have for me...among others...lol

one thing I can't get a handle on is the cola... have the syrup...and I'm not real thrilled with it yet...
I've never used the Cola Syrup so I don't know what to tell you. Perhaps you could add some champagne to it????
I have the regular TFA Cola & love it. It kind of tastes like it feels fizzy & "in your nose". I love to use it when I want something light or refreshing. I mix it at 15%, 3% EM, 3% lemon juice. Always turns out good.
I've only used them in cartomizers & just got a couple of clearomizers that are screaming to be initiated with Cola. :D

Ah, it's springtime (in March?) and the flowers are in full bloom (in March?) and in what will be an annual ritual for me, I've just mixed up a batch of TPA Honeysuckle at 10%. Lord, the smell alone when the flavor bottle in opened is enough to put a smile on your face. Now to sit back and listen to the umpire say "Play Ball" as I vape my favorite spring flavor. Thanks Linda, and don't ever quit making this stuff!

Oh my gosh, I remember pulling honeysuckle blossoms off the vine & sucking the nectar out of the end. Now I'm going to have to place an order for this flavor. :)

Whelp, that was terrible. :nah: My Cola juice screamed to get out of the clearomizer. Nasty.
So I'll Cola is for cartos on my 808's when we go out.

I just made up some 7 & 9% TFA Tobacco Flavor today. So now it's a wait & see for a week.
Hoosier, cherry blossom juice. Sounds nice. Is it a light flavor?
