Would someone please translate this into Dan's calculator numbers? I don't get it. I use 50mg uncut in the calc, finish 24mg, 20% flavor, 30VG and make 3ml if all that helps. I'm using PA flavors.

Oh, does anyone have a recipe for Blueberry Cheesecake? On the calc recipes I have seen Carmel Pecan contain 70% cheesecake and Apple pie have only 35% and the rest Apple. What's the thinking in those cases?

Light flavor, lots of smoke, mild hit. Add a part (just one) of Bavarian Creme for Blackberries and cream! Very yummy!

Here is a quick calculation on the ingredients and quantities you listed.
According to my calculations, this will make 3ml of 8.5mg juice using 36mg.

Has anyone tried Perfumers Apprentice's menthol flavor? My mom's a 30 year menthol smoker and would love a menthol vape. Every menthol she has tried just isn't doing the job.

I'll be placing an order on 4/6 when they get two flavors I've been waiting for and was thinking about including menthol to mix with tobacco absolute to see if she like it.

Dan,

Can you run that recipe, for 10mls @25mg starting from 50mg PG base, with a ratio of 75/25 PG/VG. I'm good a coming up with them not converting them.

Yeah hows this? It is not a true 3:1 PG/VG more like 2.94:1. Hope thats close enough. and at 15% flavoring as 33% I think was a little excessive.

BTW I got some Mary Jane flavoring in from the perfumers apprentice, since I have never used the original substance I took it to my neighbor who has. He said it smelled great, so I mixed him up a batch of 10ml and he is testing it for me. He said he liked it better than any other juice he has tried. Me personally, it is not my flavor of choice. Very spicy pungent aroma. So that is my review of the MJ.

I've been messing around with the samples I received this morning, and you will need 7% or more to get an authentic taste.
Smell gets a 9/10, very spicy herb smell. Nice. Taste is close, peppery after-taste on the tongue and certainly spicy. I'm very happy with it, and i'm going to try a little clove with it later.
The oil based is definately stronger than the water based, so I will probably go with a 2% oil + 5% water mix to create something to my satisfaction.
There is definitely a place for the oil based version alongside the water based one. If I were Linda, I would be selling both ;)

I've been under the impression that any oil in a mix collects and builds up in the atomizer coil and steel wool-like material, shortening the life of the heater. Is this incorrect?

Not incorrect, but it is acceptable to use small amounts with minimal bad effects. Clove is a example of an oil that can be used in small quantities, but only if the mood suits.
Plus there are different types of 'oil', some better than others.
You will also usually find in these recipes a certain amount of PGA.

These additives should be the first things mixed, to properly suspend the oil, which in turn will readily suspend in the rest.

I have been using oils ever since I started mixing my own... months ago. And I have never had a problem with my atties because of it. I clean my atties periodically with vodka. And I do a dry burn after cleaning.

Obviously just because something works for me doesn't mean it will work for you... ;)

My $0.02 if anyone is interested.

Red Bull Type - GREAT mixed at 17% flavor plus 2 drops, may need a bit more
Black Cherry - very good, just eyeballed a mix but was maybe 10%
Peanut Butter - Tastes like a spoon of peanut butter, 15%
Caramel, white chocolate, Blueberry- all very good, 15% mix

OK that being said...
Kona Coffee - BLAHH!!, I don't know if I messed up and put too much but it just tasted burn and nasty. YMMV
Bacon- Worst thing I ever vaped, 2 drops to 1ml PG

I have 5 other flavors I've yet to try.
As far as the two bad ones,
1. I'm new to DIY so alot could have gone wrong
2. They were only $1.50, so not really a loss.

Needless to say I will be buying more red bull and peanut butter and for the price, it's worth it if a few aren't for you.

Nope, I don't like coffee, but my sister is a coffee snob. I can barely stand the smell of the Kona and added a 0.02ml to a 5ml batch of Coffee Bean (15% Coffee Bean) and it ruined the whole mix. Can't even get the smell out of the glass bottle I mixed it in that she returned after tossing it outside.

Now the Cinnamon RedHots 90% and Ethyl Maltol 10% anywhere from 15-18% flavor is a wonderful thing.

The Black Cherry at 15% is great. Take it up to 20% and it is Strong!, but good.

TPA Blueberry seems to be a better flavor than Capella's, but about the same percentages work. (Mix about 81% Blueberry and 19% Capella's Cinnamon Danish Swirl for a great Blueberry Muffin at between 16-18% flavor.)

Wintergreen is very clean with no oil-y tones. Mixed with a hint of menthol and a little Ethyl Maltol makes good vape at around 15%.

Still playing around with them, but impressed with all that I've tried except for the Kona. I have some Plum, but have not found the right fit for it and it smells so darn good it is nearly driving me nuts. (OK, short drive...)
