I miss my Nikkor f1.2 50mm lens.

I've never had any kind of SLR, though always lusted for one; they're just so damn expensive! I loved that little Nikon 8mp, but after 5 yrs, the image stabilization stopped working, so although bright pics still looked ok if I was very careful to be very still, any low-light pics were just a total blur, with the length of exposure. When I went looking for a new camera last summer, I found the Canon 16mp for a really great price on Amazon, about $88, but the Nikon 16mp was over $100, so I went cheaper. Now I wish I hadn't. There's nothing really wrong with the pics from the Canon, but they just don't have the same clarity, the same in-your-face brilliance -- I have to enhance brightness and contrast on every pic from the Canon. My next camera will most definitely be another Nikon, no question.

In the film world, the two biggest factors towards great pictures were the photographer and the lenses. I'm sure those are still the first two determining factors but I'm actually not sure how much the digital wizardry factors in. Canon and Nikon both make great systems and if I was going to jump back in (I lost my SLR system in a flood and never replaced it), I'd still target the best lenses and then look at the "box" they mount to second. The Nikkor 1.2 50mm was (and I'm sure still is) a wonderful lense.

PV's with 33 hertz chip sets are inferior

An SLR with a full (or close to full) frame sensor will deliver better quality. The fools could take better pix with a larger sensor.

My 2 pet peeves...

1. That PV made in china as such it is inferior! (They forget or don't know e-cig as invented in china and 95% of it are made there.)

2. My expensive camera (Nikon snobs), takes better picture! Its the fool behind the camera that takes a better picture. Not the Camera ... You fool!

I digress.

Cheers

When people try to use my age (or more forum specific, my join date, ugh) as a defense for their side in any sort of disagreement. It just shows a lack of actual ammunition in the confines of the debate. Truly irritating.

The Next time you see someone Do what your Said, post a link in this Thread.

We can then Storm the Thread with Burning Torches and Pitch Forks.

Another pet peeve...

Going to an interesting thread only to find out it ends in 30 pages of arguing and blah blah blah.... could someone be the bigger person and leave so the we could get back on topic? More and more I see threads being modded and shut down like crazy. Can't we all pretend to get along?

What bugs me is finding a thread where everyone is having fun, just being silly, and some moderator shuts it down because it's "off topic." That just blows!!! I'm going along, giggling, just having a really good time reading all this silliness, and get to the end... and find it's closed. GRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!! I feel like I'm in grade school again, and the teacher just walked in the room with that eagle-eye stare: "It's not NICE to have fun."

Humbug to that!

PS Not questioning the work that the mods do, Cause Y'all really are the bomb and are always really busy. Love y'all. bouncing_heart-2666.gif

What other things have really bugged you in the vaping world?

i look at the world like as a world not a vaping world, because i seldom does run into vape in world, but lets just say I did, run into vape everywhere in the world then i can answer the the question....

I suppose it would really bugged me if someone said, Cuz cuz I aint your cousin,..... but nobody says that to me so it dont bug me.
If somebody sez Hey, theres vape coming from yur shoes, that would bother me but that never happen either, so the answer gots to be

it bugs me when clearos leak,

I suppose it would bug me too if someone put real bugs and really bugged my atomizer, i dont like this question fer dat reason, cause dat be worst of all.

That is One that I Don't Get.

Some threads have just Run their Course. Or don't have much of a Topic to Start with in the First place. I say if people are having Fun, why Close a Thread?

Moving to The Lounge or the OUTSIDE is a Much Better Option.

My biggest pet peeve, women who thrive on attention and and then pretend they don't like it.

My vaping pet peeve is the vaping snob who thinks no one could possibly have a decent vape unless they are vaping on the same equipment he/she uses. Please, don't give me suggestions and advice unless I ask for it. I'm vaping to stay off cigarettes, not to keep with the vaping jones's.

OK... Here is one that has been Building. It is Now an Official Pet Peeve.

People who Do Not Fill Out their "About Me" section of their ECF Profile.

You don't have to put your PIN Number and Mother's Maiden Name. But How about Something?

    Anything.

*looks to see if it's filled out*

    Guilty as charged ...

I fixed it, with several intentionally cryptic revelations ...

I bet you got a bunch of look see's. ;) I know I looked!

Remember when I said I hated Cheap People?

    This is a Good Example...

I was thinking along the lines of some salvaged 18350's out of the power pack of a 12 V Milwaukee, possibley B&D 8.5 or some new Samsung's. I'm not into questionable batteries but if I don't need an efest at 6.5 amps I don't want to lay out the money for them.

There is a difference between cheap and dumb ya know. I save my shampoo and conditioner bottles when there is that last little bit in there. But you don't buy used batts or things like that.

I think what Gets Me is that People go from spending 5 ~ 10 Dollars a Day (Every Day) on Analogs and Now they want to Save a Few Bucks by tearing apart a Used Battery Pack and Scavenging the Batteries Out of It.

Batteries that They Know Nothing About only that they are the Right Size to put into a Stacked Battery Mod.

Your Right. This does is ore Stupidity than being Cheap.

I agree. There are some things you never buy used.... unless ya know what you're doing and even then I'm kinda iffy.
