It might help if we could get good information to the people (whoever they are) that will be responsible for writing the response. The less information they have, the more likely we are to get a knee-jerk response. The more information they have, the better the changes for a reasoned response.

(i signed the other petition too)

Don't know if this has been posted elsewhere, but it's another petition that needs attention. By raising the needed signatures to 25,000 in 30 days, the Whitehouse is basically telling the people to stuff it! Seems I remember they did the same thing in the UK.

Interesting, if I sign in I get "404 Page Not Found", if I search for the petition and find it, I'm not logged in and when I do I get the pasge not found. Kind of like how the gubermint works.

I tried Chrome and Firefox, and eventually had to use IE to sign in. The e-mail/password input boxes are missing in the other browsers (which worked just fine for me when I created my account to sign the e-cig petition).

Great work, webmasters. *eyeroll*
I'm having the exact same problem with IE though.
Can't sign in because there are no input boxes, just empty space.

Try selecting the option to logout.
I haven't had an option to logout and it definitely seems to think I am not logged in.
So I previously clicked on the link to login and was presented with a blank space with no login fields to use.

I just tried again and this time I got the login fields.

I filled them in and attempted to login and I got a page that said to correct the hightlighted errors and try again.
There were no errors highlighted, and nothing needing correction.

Honestly, this website is the worst I've EVER seen anywhere.
It makes me wonder if they employ cheap labor from another country to run their website.

Wouldn't that be the ultimiate kick in the groin?

You're almost there! Once I got to the page that told me I needed to correct errors, I was actually able to go to the petition and sign it. Of course I had to use a different window to do so....

Yup. We site is more fun than a barrel of monkeys, and apprently designed and developed by those monkeys.

See DC, it was really easy. You now not only need 5 times as many signatures, you need to have great determination and one heck of a lot of individual support. The next step should be to increase the number of signatures required to 125K. That should decrease the number of boilerplate responses they'd need to make.
