Long-time listener; first-time caller here.

I've been using PV's for about 6 months now. Based on many recommendations here on ECF, I want to try out FreedomSmokeUSA. One of the options they ask you for is PG/VG ratio, with varying options in 10% increments (0%/100%, 10%/90%, etc.) This is the first time I have ever seen this, and I don't know which to choose. Any other vendor I've ordered from, I just choose the flavor, and I'm good to go. I found out what PG and VG stand for in the Abbreviations Sticky here, but I still don't know which ratio to choose.

If it makes any difference, the main vendors I've purchased my juice from so far are:
Johnson Creek
madvapes
Ms Ts Bakery

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I think the original smoke juice from Johnson Creek is 100% PG, and their Red Oak Line is 100% VG.
Ms Ts Bakery does not tell their percentage, but my guess is that it is at least a 50/50 ratio.

Personally, I like a mixture of around 80/20 PG to VG.

Hope that helps.

80% PG and 20% VG seems to be the most common selection. I personally prefer that amount too. It's a nice balance. In theory VG is supposed to produce better vapor and PG is supposed to provide the "throat hit". I'm not big on throat hit. I like my juices smooth. That being said, a stronger flavour may produce throat hit by itself depending on flavour content etc. Everyone is unique and what works for one may not for another.

Experiment. It's more than half the fun! :)
