This is very strange. I started vaping about 2 years ago. Mostly 50/50 VG & PG. Last winter I started having foot problems. My 2 toes next to the big toe on both feet became very sensitive and started to hurt quite a bit. They were purplish and developed a couple of small blood blisters. I went to a doctor who didn’t have a clue on what was happening. Even though I seemed to have good circulation to my feet, it seemed to be a circulation problem to me. Walking and soaking in hot water seemed to help. I started walking more and talking an herb that helps with circulation. The problem slowly seemed to clear up. Didn’t think too much about it until about two weeks ago. Those same toes started hurting with a vengeance. Lots of pain, trouble walking and keeping me from sleeping. I went to a different doctor. He checked my circulation etc. and said everything looked o.k. He also didn’t have a clue on what was causing the problem. I went home and started shopping for a treadmill since walking was the only thing that gave relief. Then one night in bed I remembered something from this forum from a long time ago mentioning lactic acid and legs and PG. I got up and mixed up some straight VG for the next morning. I had a little tenderness the next day but no pain. Now, about a week later, the problem has not bothered me and definitely seems to be PG related. I don’t think anything else I do has changed. It makes sense that both doctors didn’t have a clue since I’m probably their only patient who inhales PG on a daily basis. I’m only using VG now. Long term studies make sense to me now cause we really don’t know what effects these things will have on us.

Very strange indeed. You must have an allergy, because if this was a common side effect that happened to everyone inhaling vaporized PG, we'd be hearing more complaints I believe. I'll add to this with something else though, I wake up in the morning with the worst taste and sensation in my mouth with a sort of white coating on my tongue. It's awful. Sort of tastes metallic. I KNOW for a fact it's vaping related because for 1: I've never once had this problem before I started vaping and 2: it started to go away when I stopped vaping for a week when I was really sick.

It's definitely different from everyone else. I don't know if I'd call it an allergy. All the people who have developed itching from PG seem to have allergy's. Maybe reaction might be a better term, but I'm not a doctor. Exhaling is one of the ways we eliminate, so the coating is probably VG, PG or flavoring. My tongue lost it's brown coating when I quit analogs.

I suspect something different...

Gout-Symptoms

I am not a doctor! Just throwing out something to consider....

Consider the location of the problem also. Anything going on with your SHOES? Maybe time to try some different shoes for a few days?

I tend to agree with this, my wife suffers from the occasional gout attack, and it is surprising what can trigger an attack. The common denominator usually ends up being consuming foods that are high in certain types of acids. I was not aware that lactic acid was one of these, but you never know. The symptoms you describe really sound like gout though, and maybe elevated lactic levels are your trigger.

Glad to hear your feeling better on the VG, I'm still waiting for a shipment that has my first batch of VG in it. I hope it is as good as everyone says. I've personally had no negative symptoms from vaping PG as of yet, but this makes me a little concerned for my wife's sake.

Keep us updated.....
