Phinny tanks won't fit no. The cobra is a top rate rba. You won't regret it.
As I last heard, Siam stopped producing the cobalt tank for a reason. I want to say they had inconsistent color batches but I'm not sure. I see them from time to time on the classies. But even that is not often.

The color glass is a real PITA to work with! Siam was having the same problem we were. We do a batch of 100 color tanks and have a bunch of failures that come out of the oven and caps won't fit them. And even the ones that are not "failures" require different size o-rings to get the caps to work properly. I am not even sure what we will do about the amber, as our last 3 color batches have produced 100% failures for the ambers. It is very frustrating.

Wow. I didn't realize it was THAT much fun. (Ducking again)

Oh wow. Now I'm really glad I got an amber in case there won't be anymore.

Yup... We have some more ambers going into the oven, fingers crossed, but I don't have much faith at this point.

On a positive note, we have pile of failed ambers... I think after this batch we will bring some color caps into the machine shop and have them shaved down to fit the amber tanks so we will have some available again. However it might be more trouble then it is worth to continue on this way with the ambers.

Are they usable enough to put on the Scratch & Dent page?

They are perfect, however they contracted in the oven and caps won't fit in them. Don't see much point in putting them in the scratch and dent section if caps won't fit them.

Oh, I must have missed that part. yankee distracted me while he was standing tall and erect. I can't get that image out of my head.

Any idea on how or where I can get a replacement for the top nut/cap piece on the Cobra? Mine is stripped or something and won't tighten down on the positive post. It was a bit wonky when I set it up for the first time and I hadn't rebuilt it since I got it. Went to rebuild it today and it won't stay on or tighten down :(

Anyone know the threading? If I can't get the actual piece can I use a small nut on it?

The only place that I've seen any actual spare hardware parts for the cobra; IE nuts, center pins, O - rings, etc. Is through the Alba.uk website... I was on the site the other day and as they don't have any cobras in stock, they do have the hardware in stock.

I'm replying to your email now! Sorry for the delay, I have been busy getting ready for another surgery and have not been checking the forum as often as I should.
