Pardon me for this hijacking this thread for a short moment, but have any of you had a problem with ECF in the last 4 or 5 hours?
Seems at my end it's been "churning, churning, churning, chucking, puking, and getting a 505 or 404 or ... error.
I hope you'all have not had the same problem, but I'm at a loss as to whats happening.
It happens using IE, Google Chrome & my ol stand by Firefox.

Forgive me please moorea, issues at my end, I guess.

ECF was down for about 3 hrs. Better than yesterday when it was down for 4 hrs. It's getting tiresome though.

I get a good vape from a single coil, IMO having two doesn't really make it better. Now using a u-wick does make for superior wicking, but it's more difficult to set up.

Amen to that. I've done a couple dual wicks and coils and my performance has been consistently better with only one.
I haven't tried a u wick, yet

hmm. I spoke too soon. went to tweak it a lil. tried to tighten that brass rod one more time & broke off one half of philips head screw. disastrous. totally my fault for cranking it too hard. I imagine a replacement rod isn't easy to get. the half of the phillips head that is there still makes contact, but I recoiled Cobra & can tell it isn't behaving. vape output is about half what it was & resistance is reading a little high. . agh

Will your broken philips screw take a flathead screwdriver?

so out of it. . . replace all those "phillips heads" with "flathead" in last post. broke off one half of flathead.

Pull the cap off. Pull both nuts off. Puch the rod down. Grip the head with needle nose. Hold that. Reassemble the two top nuts while holding the needle nose. Then reassemble the wick.

Now you are intentionally going to have the pos post stick out a little further on the bottom. If it works, there will now be a gap but it will work until a replacement can be found.

It may likely fire half assed because its half contact BUT you never know.

Here is a u wick I made for another device. You can see where it started to kink a little. The mesh was cut with the grain running at a 45 degree angle. I might make a video for doing a u wick on the Cobra...

That's my tackle for tomorrow. Now I'm curious. I actually cut the mesh. Just got tired.

Please send me an email to info@phiniac.com and let me know what replacement parts you need if you still need them. Don't forget to tell me who you are! Do it as soon as you can. My package from them is almost all packed and will ship Monday. I will see if I can get them to add what you need.
