I just got a 3ml Cobra and a Siam Mods Titanium CobraCone Drip Tip, the drip tip won't go flush with the top cap... it gets down far enough for the o-ring to be hidden but that's about it. Pretty disappointed.:(

I tried pushing it in further but there is way too much resistance... after trying with great force, it still barely concealed the o-ring on the drip tip and I had a hard time getting it back out.

Anyone else have this problem?

No issues read here by anyone.

Try a little VG or PG on the oring. And for curiosity, take the oring off and drop the tip into the top cap to make sure there is nothing else.

Did you try another drip tip just to rule out a flaw in the cap?

I took the o-ring off and it didn't work either... other drip tips fit but they don't extend as far down as the CobraCone... it looks like there is a small scratch near the bottom of the opening for the drip tip (on the inside of the top of the "top cap", weird wording but hope you know what I mean). The bottom of the drip is getting scratched too. I think the drip tip is being stopped from going all the way in because of an imperfection right at the bottom of the drip tip opening in the top cap.

Nope, it came from the other vendor. I only posted here because I couldn't find a purely Siam Mods thread. I already emailed the vendor and am waiting on a response. I was wondering if it happened to anyone else. Here are a few pics but you I couldn't capture the scratch/thread inside the top cap. You can see the sifferences in the lengths of the drip tips though.

Yeah. Of all the tips, that is one that should fit like a glove flush. I'm sure they'd at least send a new top cap.

Thanks, hopefully... patiently waiting to hear back. Do you think it is more likely the top cap or the drip tip? Could the length of the drip tip's protrusion into the top cap be too long? In the drip tip picture, the CobraCone has the longest of all the protrusion(area above and below oring that would be hidden when flush fitted). I am not sure if it would be the top cap and the scratch or just the length of the drip tip.

If I were to guess I would say the drip tip is way too long. I've never seen one like that before.

Venturing a guess is difficult. On one hand the tip looks normal compared to when I pull mine out and compare to others I have. Add to that that you say it's scuffing the tip and it may be a burr inside. But on the other hand, the top section above the oring looks a tad longer. Each tip is different so I can only compare to mine.

It is very rare but every now and again we have seen a Siam Product that did not machine properly. But when you are machining something by the thousands it is bound to happen. With Siam products the percentage is very low however. Every piece that leaves for a vendor is checked by Siam before it is sent to the Vendor, but even then if the flaw is small it does sometimes slip through the cracks. We do our best to also check every product before we package it and send it out. We have sent out over 500 carto punches for example and I believe two went out that were flawed. And well over a thousand tank tools and I believe one was flawed. I have yet to see a drip tip that had issues, but it is possible as we had a few of the drip tip adapters for the murano glass that arrived flawed.

I am sure the vendor that you purchased it from will get back to you and make it right. The Cobra Drip Tip was designed to fit perfectly on the Cobra, so you should not be having the issue you are having.

I heard back from the vendor and he is going to send out a replacement for either the top cap or the drip tip... I have to send him some pics and it sounds like everything will be worked out fine. I think it is a burr on the inside of the top cap preventing the drip tip from going any further down. It happens, as long as it all works out I am fine with it and I have other drip tips to use in the meantime.:)

Thanks for the help guys.
