Posting it on FB will probably get you as much or more play as having it on ECF....especially if you give away a Cobra. There are several rebuildable groups, as well as the general vaping groups. Word spreads quickly on FB.

Did you get my PM?

Yup, I got it. I thought I replied, but my head hasn't been right lately. I'll check now and if I didn't expect a reply now!

I don't know how some do the completely solid wicks. I constantly have to vape it at 3 o'clock.

I think a center channel works better too. I just use 40h x 45w piece of 400 wrapped around a paperclip. Doing a 4/3 wrap of 32awg gives me 1.8ohms consistently. I can vape it at 4.2v on the Provari, & it's wonderful. Trying the other mesh/wire sizes etc is fun, but my basic set-up works well & is a proven winner.

Funny how that usually is my most dependable setup. I don't even know why I keep trying to understand this solid wick. And not in the cobra. There's no damn room. Add to that that I have found the center hole really makes the flavor actually shine more.

Unfortunately, I end up doing a dozen or so setups to try different methods on each atty. and it's usually a setup I tried in the first 2-3 setups that work best. Sometimes even mp the first setup. Glad to see I'm not the only one.

Sounds like buying a wedding a dress. The first one I tried on I loved, but had to spend three weeks trying on 500 more and of course none of them were as nice as the first which is the one I ended buying!!! And I am not the girly type of girl who likes trying on clothes.

I think there is a gross exaggeration/misrepresentation about some of the things reported in other threads. The Cobra isn't my first trip around the park. I've been using rebuildables for well over a year. There becomes a point where we are no longer vaping, but merely tinkering. I like to tinker as much as the next person, but for the beginner...there are too many tinkerers getting in the way of helping them get a basic set-up going.

I have to agree with you. It seems I spend more time tinkering than vaping when it comes to genesis attys so I'm not a happy camper right now. But it seems like each RA has it's own quirks so one setup doesn't fit all.

Yup. I've read some of those and said I have to try. And then I do and it either doesn't perform, or it's just not fun getting to that stage. I swore flavor through a center channel is the way. Period. I'm now rolling yours. I usually have a 60mm but that hole is even smaller than what I imagine this will end up at. This is primarily on a GGTS. I can kick or not. I'd rather find one I don't HAVE to kick. But I'm not afraid to. Maybe I'll see what 30g sets me up at. But this is peppermint which provides some thump on its own.

(Wife swiped my provari).

One caveat is that thicker wire like 30 or 28 does perform better for mechanical devices. You can get a lower resistance without sacrificing the number of coils. I have hybrid devices that are mechanical, & they perform best with a lower resistance coil.

Can you tell me how to get 3.0+ ohms in a tiny ceramic cup? I have a penelope and I want to use it on my vmax. It burns anything under 3 ohms.

I'd also like to get 3 ohms for my cheapo DID but I don't seem to have enough wick to wrap enough coils around.

Do you have any 36awg wire? If you have 34awg, that might work too. The higher the gauge the higher the resistance per inch.

Yes, I have some 36ga and have tried it in my Penny but didn't have enough room to reach 3 ohms. I'm going to try again though and try to get the coils closer.
