I do wish someone would find the time to help octa though. If I understood these doohickeys (wow doohickey is actually a word who woulda thunk it) anyway if I understood them or had one in hand to tinker with I would help. But for the short while I had one I dont remember any noticeable space between the Cobra and my Provari.

thanks moorea. I'm much better off after getting some advice here. the gap has diminished to almost nothing & it looks great. I may try to sand it down the rest of the way someday when I'm a little more confident/experienced. now I just need those 2 new replacement tanks to arrive. cracked my only one (the cobra logo one) while screwing around.

Wow. I'm sorry to hear about the tank. But I am glad the height issue is resolved. As I said, mine has a slight gap. Slight. For me personally, the gap is hardly worth the time to close it even tighter. But each has their preference. So I wish you will if you choose that path. Just be careful and go slow.

I think I need to pitch a tent at phiniac and wait for another batch to arrive. If AG is right, it won't be long. :)

Hmmm pitching a tent here, you might want to re-think that. Fridays low is 17 degrees and Saturdays is 3 degrees. You know we have a guest room don't you, might be more comfortable!

Still haven't heard that the there has been a change to the Monday ship date, so I am sticking with that until I do. That puts them here Tuesday or Wednesday assuming the shipping continues to be as fast as the last few packages and mesh and wire cut by Thursday or Friday. So if all goes well we will have them ready to sell by Friday Saturday! I wouldn't clear your calendar or pitch a tent however until I get tracking number.

Yeah. It's getting mighty cold here too. Although we have a couple of 50 degree days coming.

Ouch, we got a little chilly here finally.. I think it got down to 74 last night.

Back to the cobra for a second, I've been checking out more reviews and such on it wondering if anyone has tried a dual wick and coil setup on it. With the extra customizable wick holes and such looks like it wouldn't be hard to do. anyone tried it?

I get a good vape from a single coil, IMO having two doesn't really make it better. Now using a u-wick does make for superior wicking, but it's more difficult to set up.

You know I've heard that about dual wicking. It's probably my main reason for not having tried it yet. The U wick intrigues me more than dual.

No. You do "fold it over" of sorts but go into a neighboring hole. It's easier if you cut the mesh on diagonal.

Whats the coil placement look like on that? any links to threads where it's discussed here? digging through threads looking for specific stuff here is pretty tough sometimes.

Not sure of exact links. But you still coil up to about where you would with a single coil. The coil itself doesn't change. In other words, you don't go all around the U. It's ground base, your 4-5 or so wraps, trap it between the nuts. Only the wick changes.

Pardon me for this hijacking this thread for a short moment, but have any of you had a problem with ECF in the last 4 or 5 hours?
Seems at my end it's been "churning, churning, churning, chucking, puking, and getting a 505 or 404 or ... error.
I hope you'all have not had the same problem, but I'm at a loss as to whats happening.
It happens using IE, Google Chrome & my ol stand by Firefox.

Forgive me please moorea, issues at my end, I guess.
