You can always build a 20(ish) gal bio cube salt water set up. Much easier to keep. I helped my dnl do one and its really nice and not a headache to clean either. Sale what you have and check out the smaller units they have now.

If I ever decide to have one again that's the way I'll go.

If I did that it would not take me long before I wanted to go BIGGER. I tend to like things that need room and fish that school etc.

OK, that setup makes me jealous, the work involved however does not! I hated doing water changes for 280 gallons. Our water runs cold and the RO/DI unit we got worked very slowly with colder water. So a water change for me was a several day project. It seemed like minutes after a change was complete it was time to get started collecting and airating water for the next change.

Several years ago we built an addition on our house, a garage and new master bedroom. I actually hid plumbing and a drain under the hard wood floor in the bedroom for a 500 gallon shark tank, but never got around to doing it!

I probably went a little overboard?

Very Nice. Were you able to get back in there. When I was growing up, my fathers friend had something like an 800 gallon tank, and an entire room behind it dedicated to nothing but accessing and maintaining the tank. No access from the room the tank was actually viewed from.

Exactly! Hard to see it, but there was a door on the left and a room behind with all the equipment, utility sink, etc. Hardest thing I ever did was tear it down before we sold the house & moved :(

Prices have been reduced on both the Phinique Tanks and Phiddlestick Drip Trips and are now available on phiniac.com!

We have added several new Phinique tanks to the website in Wood, True-Stone, Acrylic and Glow Stonez. Most include the option to add a matching drip tip!

Phiniac Phiniques - Phiniac Rugged Pyrex Glass Tanks

We have also added a few new Phiddlestick drip tips, including a new captive ring design! The new captive ring is available now in True-Stone and Glow Stonez but more options will be available in the next batch which is coming soon.

I love them. They look so cool and I want to play with the ring! I really like the purple shell one but it's gone. Yes I'm a purple nut.

Really, of all the ones you like it is the one I took. Now I feel bad. That is why I normally do not keep anything for myself. If I hadn't already used it I would give it to you. If you want one like it let me know and I will make sure you get one, I have friends in high places :)

I believe it is purple mother of pearl and it is absolutely beautiful.

Hehe, Yep......I really....like the purple mother of pearl. Nothing like friends in high places :D Yep I want one but will let you know when. I'm about to take out some new health ins and am not sure how much that's gonna cost me. I also liked the white mother of pearl one. Shoot in a month to a month and a half I'll probably want some more tanks so I'll give ya a holler and maybe get a couple tips. I'm really loving the Phinique tank and tip that I got.

Yup... :)

Actually you told me you couldn't and you told me why and I forgot and told a customer we would probable have some wood ones with the next batch :( My bad!
I can make one, I just can't get a decent finish on it without gluing down the ring! I could use a friction polish on the lathe, but it won't hold up to the saliva ... but I'm still thinking about it - I would like one too! :)
