Got another one today from a different vendor. Same Bulli Style as my previous one (Not flat where the mouthpiece goes). This one however had scratches and has a seam that goes from top to bottom. Seems to have appeared since I started using it. The first Phoenix I received measured at 3 ohms, this one measures at 2.5 and decreased to 2.0. Also, very little wick in the bottom (unlike the first one). Anyone else get one like this ?
Got mine from V.B. yesterday. It was the flat top style. With the stock coil, I was really suprised at the throat hit. This thing is a little beast! I.m going to build a new wick for it this weekend. So far, I've only been able to put about 10 drops in it. That's lot better than any other atty I've had in the past but about half of what some have said. Of course all bottles drip differing size drops.
The diameter is perfect for an Ego twist but I think I'll keep it on a mod for now.
I'm afraid low ohm heads will be bad for the twist. I have tried it on the twist but I kept it under 4 volts.

Trimmed and unwound the stock wicks on mine, made a huge difference. Cut about a 1/4 inch off each side.
That much wick was on it? Wow. Mine hardly has any wick. I was thinking about making it longer when i recoil it but if it makes it not hit as good I'll just keep it short.
HAHA, poor lil Grimmgreen, love those videos. I just saw the video you are talkin about a couple weeks ago when researching the rebuilables. I felt bad for him man, I mean, if I can do it......

I got mine from thehouseofvapor.com and it has the kool bevel top part. I think it looks so much better.
I used toilet paper instead of rolling paper when I did my mesh wick. I separated the layers and just used enough to cover the wick. Looked really good after burning it off. KevG
So I tried the rolling paper method. It helped the coil stay, but I just keep ending up with hot spots everywhere!
Seriously, no matter how tight I wrap it, they just don't go away at all. The coil ends up loosening up, and then no amount of toothpick work removes them. Still tasted scratchy, vapor production isn't great, flavor isn't shining through!
I give up.

Still have nearly an inch on each side... Also there's 3 of them... Do you all have 2 or 3 wicks?

When it pops loud like that it's either too much juice in it or the coil is too tight.

The factory wicks have 3 small diameter wicks that are kinda short. I get rid of the factory stuff asap as a coil you build yourself with a nice thick wick is much better. You can overlap 3mm wick about 3 times for a really fat wick and the flavor/wicking is awesome.
Is there wick out there that isn't three threads in one? Found out today that the wick with three is a pain to work with. Took two tries but i finally got a proper working wick and coil. Tried over laping with two wicks but that didn't work out so well. Next time I'll try it again.
I took my needle nose pliers and turned the post so both holes are facing me, wrap my coil around my wick and put both ends of the coil wire through the holes very easily since there both facing me now. bend coil/wick so its sitting up a little bit or equal to the hole in the outer cap when its on, tighten screws. Then when I put on my cap I make sure the hole is sitting right behind my coil/wick, even if I have to loosen my cad a tad, this set up works Best for me.
I did my first coil rebuild today. I have done a number of rebuilds for my Vivi Novas so it wasn't foreign to me.
I used 1/0 cotton candle wick and 34 gauge nichrome wire. I made a 4 turn coil that resulted in a 2.0 ohm coil.
I put both ends of the wick in the well and added the juice and the flavor and throat hit were just o.k.
Then I remembered in the video review I had seen it was suggested to run one end of the wick upward into the tank.

I recommend trying this.

I just got mine today and well it seems to have to tight of a draw. Almost like have a fresh made shake that you cant even drink.

Sounds like you have something blocking the air hole on the side of the shell because it should have a very airy draw to it. If it's not cloged get a screwdriver or nail and try to make the hole wider...that will solve the issue.
Where did you get your candle wick and nichrome? Does your wick have anything bad on it? Do you boil it?
