MY take on the A7
Seams to work ok, Draw is relay light. Like a loos 901, Wick suck of some kind of primer but pushing through to do some quick testing. (If you get one clean it first)
The wick sits way above the feed tube that is in it. But with the stock wick set up seams to wick fast.
I am going to put an o-ring on the bottom and drill a side hole. And try to drop the wick set up closer to the feed line.
Got some juice in the CC of the Grand while playing with it. Sits tall on the grand
Will not fit Mini 2.0, Standard Woodvil, REO Mini 1.0 or First run VVW.
I will keep playing with it but not going to spend a lot of $ on these. I think it will take some moding for most to like using them.
I will change out the Stock wick and wire tonight and let it brake in, but out of the box its no ERA or Challis.

One other thing that I have noticed with the A7, it seems to get much hotter than my ERA when I vape it.
Yep not liking that, I am going to clean mine out and do some modding on it before I use it much more.
Over all not a waist of $20.00 but not going to invest much in these.
Just a quick note: Out of the box as a dripper the Phoenix out preformed the A7 IMO, That should tell you how it will preform as a modded atty for bottom feeding.

First thing you have to do is remove the two post there pressure fit .
Next you need to mill the lip off the top of the atomizer , Now you can remove the center post and gasket
Now you can mill the rest of the atomizer down like you see in the photo I posted
I use the center post that came with the atomizer if its a clone its made of brass. You will need a 1/16 drill bit and a drill press with a vise. Use some oil when you do this or risk breaking the bit .
If you look into the bottom of the atomizer and on the positive pole you will see the holes there 1/16 holes you need to drill them out to 5/64 enough to hold the positive and negative posts .
Now you can take the two post and grind them down to the desired height . Clean the edges with a file and press them into the atomizer
You end up using the gasket that came with the atty slide it on 3/4 of the way and push it into position .
You will need to lower the hole on the cap of the atomizer it has to be inline with the coil I left mine up a whisker . If you have any ?s feel free to give me a call I am happy to help

See, told ya you guys would know what was wrong with it and if any thing was good. Ya can't rely on me to know if things are good or not... after 43 years of 2 1/2 packs a day I was to the point I would have inhaled a forest fire if I was out of cigarettes.
I played around a little while ago and made a new coil and wick, 33awg and 3mm silica. Tested out rigt around 2.6 - 2.8 ohm. Seems to be working pretty good and after a few minutes the flavor was better than the stock coil/wick.
My ERA's haven't come in yet so I don't have the ability to compare the A7 to anything else. I'm still alive and haven't coughed up a lung so I guess it can't be all that bad. At least you both agree that the draw is airy... see, I wasn't wrong about everything.
I'll leave the modding to others, I can't open a can of tuna without arterial bleeding and a call to 911.

I just tried again in the stock set up. I just can not do it. Supper light draw and got the Atty gurgle when vaping. It Got real hot even at 2.8 set at 4.2v. I will try to mod it tomorrow evening after work but for now Is back in the to be cleaned pile.

You can set up a vertical coil in the Phoenix and leave the bottom end of the wick long so it sits in the cup. A good squonk will soak up to the coil no problem and is good for about 3~4 drags. Been running mine this way without issue for a couple of weeks. Oh and ditch that stock wick and coil. Even if you rewick with silica you will do far better than the stock version.
I wish I just got back off the road. Been driving all day. I will head to the shop latter if I dont fall asleep before that.

So the question is, are these a7s real ss? A bottom air fed rebuildable will take out a side air fed atty every time as far as flavor, hit, vapor. I prefer bottom air ones the air goes directly into the coil straight to mouth, doesn't have to do an l movement. I don't know what it is but that changes flavor dramatically. I'm on the co op so will post when i receive
I'm curious about the same thing urquidezj, keith at empire assured me it was through and through SS, and cisco is advertising it as such too. I would be shocked if either one of them would outright lie about it, so if its not stainless, someone is doing a good job of jive talking in the Orient lol
