I already have a full-size 1911. But, the other day I picked up a 1911 out of the case to show a customer, and it felt SO good in my hand. It's a commander size and feels so good! I've been trying to talk myself out of it for days.

ETA: No, it's not the commander size? The barrel is 3.5", officer size.

Hmmm, not sure if I can handle the recoil. Something to think about.

I'm not sure you came to the right place to be talked out of something. Have you met vapers? :D

My new summer carry, M&P Shield Plus. It has a very nice new flat trigger that shoots really great and is super accurate, this new shield is a big improvement over my original and has 13+1 capacity and is the same size as my original with a slightly thicker grip, all my older holsters fit great.

The Shield Plus also comes with 2 10round magazines for magazine restricted states, I'm 3 miles from the Chicago border which is a 10 round limit as well but I choose to carry the 13 round until I get the Magazine grip extension . I have large hands and the 13rnd magazine fits my hand good but not the 10rnd so I will be getting a magazine grip extender, I always save the first 25rnd target on a new gun to analyze when I get home from the range, bottom left groups are with the 10rnd mag with a couple shots in the other groups using the 13rnd magazine at 35 feet on a 12 inch target.

Not enough. Which is why I like my 17+1. :D

I had two options, some years back.

    1. Sacrifice a bunch of stuff (similar to your description), or
    2. Register it all with the state (including one eyeball, a dna sample, and one child  )
He was a good kid, and we loved him, but...

Now it seems like every time I look out my front window, there's a black SUV with blacked-out windows and no license plates. Hmm. ;)

Just ordered one of these and it's on the way.

I'll post my thoughts once it arrives and I've taken it around the block a time or two.

I'll be interested to hear your thoughts because I've always been curious about that design.

Not that I NEED any more flippin' holsters, but I've been eyeing this Tulster for a spell.

I already have some kydex but I really like how small this one is. I'd probably still ending up slapping on an alien Gear belly or BugBite leg, depending on situation, but Idunno...

Like vapes, I don't know that there's such a thing as, "Too many." If there is, I imagine I don't much care for the concept (#WeAreVapers).

One of the primary reasons I pulled the trigger on this one is you can order different shells without having to go with the entire setup. So as the arsenal grows (**snicker**) all I need to do is order a new shell at a fraction of the total cost. I've also spoken to a couple of friends who use the alien Gear setup and they all say it's the most comfortable rig they've ever used.
