One of the primary reasons I pulled the trigger on this one is you can order different shells without having to go with the entire setup. So as the arsenal grows (**snicker**) all I need to do is order a new shell at a fraction of the total cost. I've also spoken to a couple of friends who use the alien Gear setup and they all say it's the most comfortable rig they've ever used.
I don't know if you ever carried in that type of holster before and if not I can confirm they are very comfortable and distribute the weight evenly from end to end. I use a Concealment Solutions brand I bought about 10 years ago.

This will be a first for me. Generally, I've used just a holster which can be somewhat uncomfortable by the end of the day. I'm looking forward to trying this alien Gear rig.

I'm also on the prowl for a long lasting comfortable duty belt. My existing setup is very uncomfortable by the end of a 12 hour shift. Not sure I'll be able to find something unless I scrap the duty belt altogether and just start attaching stuff to my normal belt. Even then, there's quite a bit of weight that becomes uncomfortable by the end of the night.

That IS nice (easy edits), and I may have to rethink my thoughts.

Their belly band is amazingly comfortable. I HATE those things, and am not even sure why I got it. Something about it said it MIGHT be different, and it IS.

Definitely come back with your thoughts re the comfort. If you concur, that might be my next "jump".

I'll be interested to hear your thoughts because I've always been curious about that design.

Not that I NEED any more flippin' holsters, but I've been eyeing this Tulster for a spell.
Ruger LC9/LC9s/LC9sPro - Profile IWB Holster - Right Hand

I already have some kydex but I really like how small this one is. I'd probably still ending up slapping on an Alien Gear belly or BugBite leg, depending on situation, but Idunno...

Like vapes, I don't know that there's such a thing as, "Too many." If there is, I imagine I don't much care for the concept (#WeAreVapers).
I picked up a Vedder Light Tuck last year because of it's size, it's pretty comfortable as well with many adjustment options. Check them out Dave!

That was always my experience, and remains with most of my holsters. The BugBite (leg) is the first that I could wear for days if I ever wanted to. At 61 though, I'm not sure how many more years I have before I'll no longer be able to go down there to get it. Currently, it's fine.

As for the belt, that's a tough one. I think that the weight always wins out eventually, and a 12 hour shift will tax pretty much everything (I think).

I've got the same one, Bob (just all black)! I shoulda known... ;) And thank you!

It's my preferred belt option to date, but does get a bit uncomfy for me if worn for too long. I have a feeling pretty much all kydex ones would bug me eventually. That Alien Gear one definitely has my antennas flickering.

Right? I'm 62 and at the end of 12 hours, I'm struggling to get into the patrol truck, let alone bend over to get something.

I don't know how thick your belt needs to be but the ratchet system on the Kore belt works great and can be micro adjusted in 1/4 inch increments forward or back for late in the day or after meals.

I've been rethinking my configuration, and I've seen those Kore belts. The mag holder is nice, but the way it's configured allows gunk to get into the bottom of the mags. The thing I really like about it, though, is the easy access with the off hand when I need to reload. Not wild about the cuff holders, either, as the left one is always getting snagged on the edge of the seat when I'm climbing into the truck and releasing the clips that hold it in place. We're allowed a bit of leeway on our duty belts as long as we're not carrying things we're not certified for. I will be adding an ASP and OC spray at some point. The state is in the process of rethinking certifications, and I'm waiting on the final rules so my training is current when I go in for the recerts.

Holster arrived the other day and I must admit, once it's adjusted properly, you hardly know it's there. Unfortunately, with the weapon I have, it prints like crazy. Guess I'll be looking at that Walther PPS M2 and ordering the shell for it.

    Small cannon, I presume? :D

The M2 is a very nice piece. For my carry options, I really prefer single-stack 9s. They just work for me, and are my personal favorites for out & about. I think/hope you'll be pleased with it.

Will it make that much of a difference, print-wise? I'm curious since it's an IWB holster. I'm figuring it's the piece not the holster, yes?

I guess they all lied to me. Size, apparently, does matter.

Yeah, the Masada is just too big for conceal carry IWB. I could probably go 6 o'clock, but I really don't like carrying back there. Too uncomfortable when I'm driving. The grip is just too long on the Masada to conceal properly. It's an awesome duty weapon, but just a bit too big for conceal carry.

Got it, and I don't like anything on my 6, as a rule, including useful things.

Sizes like that are great, holstered to my mattress. Easy grabs.
