Hey, at least you didn't break the bank and risk sleeping on the couch when the missus found the card charge. 40 bucks for that case was a steal.
Indeed it was. You could have bought 2 of 'em and resold one for double the price on FB Market Place and gotten one for 'free'. They're going for $160+ on Amazon.

Oh, what with all the gear bags I have already for firearms and fishing, etc. If I brought another 'bag' into the house I'd be sleeping in the back yard not on the couch.

But as you indicated, at that price for the rifle case, I couldn't pass it up. Nope couldn't do that.

My CCW pistol ( M&P Shield Plus ) is with the Illinois state police for ballistics testing after I had to use it in self defense last week during a attempted burglary. We each fired 2 shots with none hitting me but the offender wasn't as lucky. It will take as long as 6 months before I get my life saving Shield Plus back so I picked up a new CCW pistol ( Sig P365X ).

Hell of a reason to have to buy a new pistol. Glad to hear to weren’t injured. Any legal ramifications you caught up in for defending yourself? BTW nice choice for the replacement.
No legal issues because it was all recorded on a hard drive, going tomorrow to test the new addition.

I just came back from the range, it's a winner for sure and a flat shooter for it's size. My only con is on the mag release ( very stiff ) but it's a new pistol.

You're gonna love that SIG. I have the XL Romeo Zero and it's my EDC when I'm not on duty. I dropped a Tyrant CNC trigger into it and made it even better.

They also have mag releases for the SIG. I haven't swapped mine out, but after a few hundred rounds through it, I don't see a real need to replace the button.

I have a Radical Firearms AR on order (couldn't pass up the 399 price tag on it) and decided to top it with a Romeo 5 Gen II and Juliet 3 Micro (also on order). Of course, I get an email from PSA today showing the same topper combo for $30 less than what I paid through Sig Sauer.

I should also add that I'm on the prowl for a different red dot. As much as I like the Romeo Zero, you have to remove the entire sight from the slide in order to replace the battery. Then I have to re-zero the danged thing. I have a Romeo1 on my Masada and it's perfect. Will have to wait for another sale as I snagged the one for the Masada for a song and a dance. Right now, they're around $350. In a perfect (and far richer world) I'd love to put an Eotech on everything, but man..... When the sight is twice what you paid for the firearm, the wallet slams itself shut and defies you to put one in your shopping cart.

I do love it and think it's going to replace my Shield Plus if and when I get it back from the Il State Police. I was going to put a extended mag release on it but looking at my holster which is Kydex I think it will be to close to the body and don't want accidental mag dumps.

I might just heat the holster up in that spot and bend it out a bit, I don't understand why Sig positioned the release with a forward cant instead of a rearward or flat one. I'm going to put in a couple of MagGuts + 2 conversion springs in the mags for a 14+1 carry.

I am also rethinking putting on a Holosun Optic, the shooting was so fast I didn't even have a chance at looking at my sights using point shooting instead. I probably will still get the nice Holosun 507 K ACSS Vulcan though.

I wish I could have the Shield Plus trigger on the Sig P365 X ( FANTASTIC TRIGGER )!!!

I use an Alien Gear rig with mine. It's the most comfortable IWB rig I've ever used. Once you hit that sweet spot (Mine's between 3 and 4 o'clock) you don't even know it's there.

I should also add that with the AlienGear rigs, you can swap out the shell if you have multiple weapons you like to carry. The shells run around $35-$40 if I recall.

I envy you folks that can use red dots. I have astigmatism and even with corrective lens, a red dot is a star burst or even multiple star bursts. On my rifles I had no choice but to go EOTECH w/ true holographic's. That my eyes can work with.
That has to be unreal to deal with.

Indeed, the best I can get is two fuzzy overlapping dots. Kind of like a figure 8, then I have to guess which is the real 'dot'. It's kind of workable for a center mass body shot. I can and do use laser sights on my pistols. Not a hugh fan of them, but I see a good green dot on the target and it helps with quick target aquistion for my old eyes, so be it.
