Ok, so... just made my first dual clapton coil.. got to say i'm not impressed.. It pops juice at you like crazy. Everytime i take a pull my tounge gets burnt with hot drops of juice! this is dissapointing..

Yup. I ran into the same issue on some attys. What did you put it in?

Alright, vaped it dry and re-dripped. it must have been that i got juice directly on the coil, because i made sure not to get any on it this time..just on the wick and now its not that bad.. still get a few pops but not like before

anyone on here try Humble Juice Co before?... And if so, Does yours Taste like perfume?.... Just got a few bottles from them. It says their Juice Is 80vg/20pg.. but it really does not seem even close to that.. Maybe i'm mistaken but i've had juices with less then 80vg that were way thicker then this.. it seems more like 60/40 to me.. The first 3 so far all taste very perfumey to me.. The only one that taste Normal is the American Dream.. but the vg pg ratio seems way off to what it states.. Anyone else out there having this issue?

My first and probably last clapton coil.

Not worth the effort, IMO.

I was wondering where the RDA in my avatar went :p

I agree about clapton (I just want to call them rotowound coils... I'm over calling them claptons) coils and mech use, naked wire is a lot better.
I do have one exception, though. I have a 26/32 rotowound dual coil in my derringer right now. It is my only kanthal equipped RDA at the moment. 4/5 wraps, 2.3 mm, comes out to .26 ohms. Rips on a mech. You can get rotowound coils to perform on mech, you just have to build them thoughtfully.

Flavor isn't any better than naked wire, and I feel vapor production is the same. Complex coils look nice, but naked is quicker, easier, doesn't have any real drawbacks, and has quicker reaction time to power and cools off quicker as well.
I'll keep this coil build in here until I decide the wire is unusable.

Yea, i put a clapton dual build in earlier today and have been vaping on it all day.. and honestly.. i miss my regular 24g builds lol. Clapton seems to have all this hype and i dont know why. To me the clouds seem puney compared to a regular build, like whispy or something lol. Maybe i'll get a different gauge clapton wire and try it..

Its all elitism and the placebo effect. I can't say I'm immune to either myself, just try and remain aware and keep an open but skeptical mind.
From a scientific standpoint, I can see how increased resistance wire surface are can have an effect on vapor production, but I also feel that past a certain wire temperature, the radiant heat production and the wicks overall surface area and surface area to volume ratio have more of an effect than coil surface area.
People want recognition and proof that somehow, their extra effort is worthwhile.
If you get enjoyment from making coils out of your coils so you can coil while you are coiling (dawg), then have at it, just don't feel like you will convince me the vape is noticeably different.

Been on a low carb, high protein diet. Working out 3 days a week.

O my, beer and plain toasted white bread have never tasted so good... dinner was chicken strips with sweet baby rays bbq sauce. If you have a cheat day. Live it up. Got some temptress stout waiting once I off the Terrible (it's amazing) beer.

I have found that spacing the claptons enough so the wraps dont touch reduces the spitting.
