Just looked at the sites, some really nice work, now I'm getting all siked for my next one. :)

I do have one question (you can't answer), who would want a tatt of Conan O'Brien. Ewwwwwwwwwwww!!!!

LOL ... AMEN! I still can't get past the first one ... this one is simply amazing!

Sounds a lot like childbirth, you know you were in a hell of a lot of pain, but yet you do it all over again. The brain seems to forget just for that reason. LOL Jo might like to hear that. :)

PRACTICE !!! That's what I tell her going in to it !!! You're practicing for Child Birth baby !!!! LOL ... excellent analogy ...

Has anyone ever used Emla? It temporarily numbs the skin for tats. It works great, especially if you're getting one on or near a bone.

I'm a wuss but really wanted a tat. Emla was a lifesaver!

Steve, I have some if you or Jo want to use it.

Interesting Cheryl ... How long is it supposed to stay in effect? May be perfect for Jo ... Although, I may want her to *FULLY EXPERIENCE* what tattooing is all about ;) FEEEEELING THE BURN !!!!!

I'm so dang conservative, only have my ears pierced and probably would never get a tattoo, BUT if I did get one, it would be a little black and white kitty head on my ankle. :)

Just go for it lucky!!! that is where Jo is getting her's!!!

both jo and myself are VERY conservative ... Minus body art (or minus MY body art). Every other part of our life is :D

You'd be surprised at how often I am asked what my tattoo's are and what they mean and I enjoy explaining

Never heard of Emla, but I have to admit, the pain is part of the fun of it for me. Not that I like torture or anything, but something about knowing what I did to get the beautiful artwork. For me it was for my Dad (the back tatt) and all the pain was worth always having him with me. :)

I'm with CaSH, we are pretty conservative as well, but the tatts all have meaning for us, and I love showing them off and telling people about them. Go for it....

oh no hijacking going on, its about tats, it's cool with me ;) I am terrified for some reason! maybe I'll just start with names, lol that will be quick and I can get a feel for it. I was also thinking of something of my foot, but I hear those fade and mess up

Never done the foot, but I hear those are quite painful because of the bones. Although, on my back, I thought the shoulder blades would be the worst and it was actually the middle of my back and right by my armpits that hurt the most, tender areas.

Girlie, you have had kids, you can do a tatt..... :) The pain goes away and you have something beautiful with you always. I think the footprints and handprints are a really cool idea, I've seen them on people, they look really nice.

Sorry for hijacking your thread, I just get so excited about these things. LOL

Footprints !!! Jo's best friends Hubby has Kingstons (son's) footprints on his arm ... they are REALLY cute !!!

Hey Girlie ...

It all depends on how you take care of it afterwards. Google Tattoo aftercare instructions and follow it to a "T" ... Keep it out of sunlight for atleast a good 3-4 weeks, continue to moisturize through the tattoo's life, and the colors/lines should stay great! Nothing to really be terrified ... You may want to start on a part of the body that has more *meat* to it ... Starting on Feet/ribs/neck/bones in general are QUITE painful ... The meatier parts you can almost not even feel. THe one on my calf, I don't even remember getting done ... LOL
