Not sure what the sooty means and google didnt help...
It was directed toward you, but anyone is welcome chim in. I have to program the tip shapes again. I was thinking why not make a tip styles for a certain device. I used to make these on the wood lathe for the DCT. The tip base diameter would be the same diameter as the top of the device.
I dont think this would work well if you want to use the same tip on multiple devices though.
It was meant to be sorry darn auto correct,
I will be using the tip on my spheroid

That will go on my paps lux,
I hope this helps to inspire you! I am just excited to see your work and possibly own one!

I like your tips the sizes they've been and the comfort shape is named very very well, imho.

If you have an atty/topper you'd like to match, I'm sure it would be lovely and work on many of the toppers of the day.

A lot of toppers today are flat top and have 22 or 23 mm diameter, where many styles work well. Some popular ones have an extra small bit on top where the drip tip fits. (Nautilus Clearo & Kayfun Rebuildable). The most popular style of tip now seems to be straight sticks and wider and wider cores. They range from really short to really tall.

I don't go for all the trends (especially this one), but other viewers may want these styles from you.

I will reprogram all the old styles as well. The comfort tip was the first of the reprogramming. I made the first comfort tip to determine what diameter was most comfortable for me and it was based off of a figure eight tip. This is why the bevel is straight from the tip to the valley. Ironically for me the comfortable diameter changed day to day. Depending on where I placed my lips I could always find my comfortable diameter except for a diameter under 0.230", the current minimum acrylic diameter. I am well on my way to making the minimum acrylic diameter smaller, but that will be on phase 3 of lathe tooling. In the end old and new styles of tips and cores will be available for request.
It sounds like the top on certain devices is very similar. I think I need to start documenting the diameter of the flat top where the tip sits for future use.

Lol too funny - I can't wait to get my hands on one of those three remaining lilac lava tips lol
If you don't pick one up, I will turn more on the next batch.

Got to love auto correct. Funny I just thought it was more slang that I didn't understand.
I found this image on google. It looks like the base diameter of the tip is about the same diameter as a carto and fits perfectly. Would you happen to have a carto laying around to check?
