I top fill mine and fill it to the bottom of the threads for the top cap. I find that way much easier.
I actually studied that today. I was thinking of trying it that way next. No matter which way you fill it, should you always cover that air hole with your finger? I thought that maybe I had a vacuum problem.

So I just changed my wick and put in new juice. I watched the video you posted right before I did it so I could do everything he did, step for step. I think I followed every step correctly, although maybe I'm still not putting enough wick in. I cut the wick just a little bit above the top of the bottom part of the chimney and I filled it from the top. I'll post a pic in a second so you can see how much juice I have left after it finished leaking. Now, though, it's vaping really well. My first few hits were lots of vapor, and I originally filled it to the top of the clear section. I just finished it about 20 minutes ago, so you can see that either I lost a lot of juice at first, or it just went down further into the tank. I'm still not sure how all of the parts work together, but I think I'm getting there.

Nicole, Another crucial aspect here is to pre check for air leaks. Do this by covering the air intake and taking a few pulls with the unit assembled and empty. If you are able to pull air, you have a leak. If you have a leak, find it and repair it before filling. This includes where the chimney meets the top cap. (usual suspect) "Don't over tighten" but rather just enough to secure the leak.

This and the air gap I previously described are two of the essentials for a happy Kayfun.

Used to do this. Right up until the second time I got distracted and my finger slipped away from the intake in addition to having a few leaks around the chimney from time to time.

My kayfun didn't come with o-rings on the small clear window piece. Did you put one on the top and bottom? I didn't seem to have a problem without them, but put them on cause it will help with the vacuum seal.

Wicking correctly I found is key with the kayfun. There is a few ways on doing this as well. Once you get it right it's such a nice vape.

Was reading the comments on the REO and he is not wrong. They have been around for years and people love them. I've wanted a wood version for a while, but they are always sold out. I never understood why they don't expand their business. Same problem with Ikenvape cartomizers as well.... I guess they want to keep it small and simple.

Good luck with your kayfun! It's better than iClears, but you probably already know this by now lol.

After re-reading this my kayfun did come with 0-rings, just not attached to the clear pieces...

I think my wicking is good. Today I've gotten excellent vapor with no dry hits. I honestly think it has something to do with the vacuum part of the device. I follwed jbindy's advice and watched that video, and I followed the guy's tips on wicking and filling. However, when I tipped it upside down, I don't mind saying that I was a little bit nervous about only having the top part (when right side up) screwed on only enough to catch the threads. I don't think I waited for the air bubble to go up all the way. Maybe that's where my issue is, and I'll definitely try to maintain my composure while I'm filling it the next time.

By the way, I'm doing all of this experimenting with OTHER juices. NOT Nicoticket juices. No Nicoticket juices have been harmed during the testing of this Kayfun. :)

I like the way youre going about this. Eliminating one potential problem at a time until you get it just exactly perfect :)
I didnt use any NT juice when I first got my KFL+...finally found a good use for all the MBV juice we had :vapor:

I'll try that if it does it again. It seems to do it when I take a break from vaping. I'll put it down, go do something, come back and it's dripping from that hole.

I'll always leak a little, works on air pressure building up inside the tank every time you take a pull. Unfortunately there's not much you can do...

Ive read sudden temp changes can cause it to leak as well.

I'd rather say pressure changes. Sunny days are usually high pressure, you'll find it leaks a little... I love the regular KF, the chamber below the deck serves as an overflow when the pressure gets too high. Most people vape KF fully open for most vapor, but I prefer flavor and TH, so I vape it almost closed.

Got my new Triton in the mail!

Thanks again Sam!!!

What makes the vapor production go up on this? It seems like there's a gap at the bottom of it and maybe extra air is coming through? Like, between the bottom piece and the middle piece. When I push them together, they don't stay tight. Is there a trick?

I dripped some Band Camp on it and...oooooh, la la!!! Flavor AND Nic!!!

I took off the second o ring from the bottom so it would be easier to get the bottom off and on for you.. I threw it in the envelope though (or at least I think I did) if you put it back on it should be very tight. You can increase vapor by twisting the top cap and opening up the second hole there is a position where the top cap 2 large holes are open across from each other. This will increase vapor by a lot but it will reduce your flavor. the top cap is also tight but it will twist to give you different air draws. I am not sure much air will come through bottom cap to middle section even loose. Also try twisting the middle onto the bottom I had it pretty snug when I sent it. Finally iif you use some inexpensive juice on the o rings it makes it easier to twist it on if you choose to add second ring. Glad you like the flavor!
