I still don't get the provari thing. I know they look nice and have really good customer service and warranty but,I can get 3 Vamo v2s for the price of one provari. Feel like it's a status thing. Correct me if I'm wrong. Haven't read more than what I've happened upon..
How do you read my posts? I'm always on my s3 and Swype doesn't play nice with internet forums. Sometimes make the effort to correct. Most times cannot be bothered..Artist (and part-time Grammar Enforcement Officer): that should be complement, unless it's performance art.

It's definitely, not a status thing with me. If you met me in person, even the suggestion I might be status-seeking would likely make you laugh 'til you cried.
I came very close to getting a Vamo, but I couldn't get passed how it looked. I watched PBusardo's video, and he gave it a great review, but even in the small configuration the square(ish)ness reminds me of a robot. I don't like the finish either. Chrome was all I could find at the time and I would have scratched it up in seconds (I was already looking at J-Wraps, but I didn't like any of their patterns). I have a feeling I would have the same issue with the black chrome.
The 3 button design isn't a plus for me. With all electronic equipment I look for the fewest parts requiring interaction. The more buttons I have to press, the more chances I will break something. I was intrigued by the idea of variable wattage, until I paid close attention to my vaping habits: the power levels I prefer, the way I utilize delivery systems, etc.. I won't post my conclusions, least some troll come along and insist my observations of myself are incorrect. You may have noticed that sets me on edge. Since I try very hard to emphasize that every person has their own preferences and neither device is "superior," when someone comes along, ignores my disclaimer and proceeds to try and invalidate my observations, I admit I react emotionally. I have no need to be right in a debate (since there is no right or wrong), but when my intelligence and analytical skills are challenged, it rubs me the wrong way - along the lines of attempted gaslighting. (Google it if the term is unfamiliar)
Ultimately, since I would have had to buy batteries and a charger anyway, and I knew I would have to buy a J-Wrap for the Vamo, on the night I bought my ProVari it ended up costing roughly $60.00 more. Not a big chunk of change for something I thought was nicer looking, wouldn't scratch as easily, was made in the US, came with a warranty and could be sent in for repairs if needed.
I may get a Vamo someday, if they come out with a body design I find more attractive and a finish less likely to scratch - I spent enough on IKenVape cartos the other night to buy a Vamo - but I think it's more likely I would get some kind of exotic mod. I have been drooling over these for months:

Did I answer your question without sounding like a status-seeking, peer-pressured fangirl?![]()

What are those?!?!? And... where can I get some?!? That makes me want to put a robe on, turn up the fireplace, have some wine, and vape..
I definitely don't recommend a Provari for newbs though. It could be very confusing to someone new and not necessary.
I bought my first Provari because I was tired of getting mods that broke. I wasted more money buying inferior mods and was tired of always being on the mod search. It had nothing to do with looking cool. It's made so well that once you actually hold one and Vape one, OMG! A vamo doesn't compare at all. I loved mine so much I bought a 2nd one as a backup. I got it on a blemish sale for $140 and couldn't resist. There was no blemish, it just doesn't have the logo. Plus I also love the warranty it comes with and paid extra for an additional year warranty. I've never had a problem with either Provari, going on a year now. I carry it every day and have dropped it alot, and it's still amazing and doesn't even look scratched up. I have other mods also but I tend to not really use them anymore.
Eddie, you're asking the wrong person.BTW, Ocelot just gave you a perfect answer.
I do not own a ProVari because I prefer small, less conspicuous batteries like my Twists and Spinners. After 3+ years of vaping, I know my juices and my preferred settings by heart and I don't need ProVari's help in calculating wattages for me.
Having said that, I used a ProVari and it's a beautiful APV, probably the best one in its class. Darwin is nice too, I hear. But there are other gorgeous APVs out there, like all mechanical mods, for example. Reos are small, hand-crafted pieces of art, and I've always been tempted to get one. Mini Legacy is a beauty also! But I'm yet to make the transition from the cigalike to something completely different.
My problem with the ProVari is not the mod itself, but some of the overzealous ProVari owners, who post in almost every new member thread, no matter what the OP's question, "Get a ProVari." That irks me. New vapers, who don't even know for sure if vaping is for them, or who may be on a budget, don't need to be told that they will never be happy unless they acquire the most expensive APV on the planet (and an RBA to go with it). That's just utter nonsense.
The only thing that bugs me is I would like to get a lanyard of some kind, but I'm afraid it might swing around and break a rib.
I know, right? Hogwarts vaping lounge?
They are so beautiful!
Elegant, without being freaking "Steampunk." I was a fan of Retro Futurism until the Goths started wearing brown and hot gluing clockworks to everything.
