I've seen threads before but not sure where at the moment. What mg nic are you vaping? Truth is, and this sounds bad, but I did have to have a couple puffs of a cig a few times and then threw them out cause I already was used to vaping and it didn't taste good. I think I had to make sure I wasn't missing out on anything. There's a lot of mental/emotional addiction with cigs besides just the nic addiction. For me I had spent the majority of my life constantly grabbing for one. It was my companion at every event and every step I took. Now my Vape is. You may need to get a stronger nic for when you have the urge at the beginning, and just Vape a lot. It actually takes more vaping to be satisfied. If you used to have a 5 min. Smoke break, vaping will probably take a lil more time to get absorbed into your system.

I'm vaping 24mg ....chain vaping isn't helping enough tonight....am thinking of getting some 36mg, but I'll be out of town at mom's till Tuesday. Going to a B&M vape store tomorrow...doesn't look like they have 36mg from their website but I'll ask tomorrow.

Besides....mom is still on the analogs...her eGo setup seemed to be interfering with her pacemaker she said. I need to research for her on that.

.I will stop being so hard on myself and continue to have an analog until I can't stand them anymore. I went from smoking around 44 analogs a day to 5 a day by vaping, all in 18 days. I am at that point where I want to be done, but if I'm not I'm not, right??

lol @ kitty

Yes!!!! You can come hug too!!!! (((((((((Hugs)))))))))) I must admit....I'm craving an analog tonight  Any threads on withdrawals...tips...etc...?

Drink lots of water and yes have a higher nic for those stressful times. I began @ 36 mg...now down to 2 mg but I occasionally vape 8 mg without hesitation when needed. Try diff voltages with diff juices.

Steph, did you cold turkey straight to vaping?
That's tough. I don't want to enable you but,a slip is fine. You'll realize how bad they taste and maybe not even finish the cig. Just start over again. I would have mine in the morning when I was in the process. Then see if I could make it through to lunch without one, then dinner.. so on..
I can recall the last evening one I had. Was having a few drinks. Got about halfway through when I realized I was disappointed I had had one and that it tasted like S#@t.

Ocelot, you can't eat other members of the group hug... it really messes with the vibe...

Steph, it's perfectly normal. Some people quit right away, most struggle for weeks or months. We're all different. My advice--don't beat yourself up. Don't feel guilty. Don't set any quit dates or unachievable goals. Don't sweat it. If you want a cig, have a cig. This is not a 12-step program. Just let it happen. I never planned to quit--I never believed I could quit. I started vaping because I was looking for something that would let me deal with all those smoking restrictions...

There are plenty of threads about cravings, withdrawal and other difficulties. They all say the same thing--pretty much what I just said above. Just go to the General forum or even the New Members forum.

Eddie, I have been a smoker for 28 years, was smoking over 2 packs a day. 3 weeks ago I started vaping and cutting down on the analogs just happened naturally...to a point where it was 5-10 analogs a day + vaping. I went cold turkey at 11am Wednesday to just vaping and made it till Thursday night.

I'm still pleased with my progress and I can notice improved breathing, circulation, and thinking already......so ......how's about another Group Hug Eddie?!

come 'ere :D
