Hi guys, I'm back!

I'm still vaping away, and happy as ever to be doing it. You guys might remember me, it's been a while. My mom died from lung cancer and I haven't smoked a cigarette since. But I'm humbly asking for help from the experts, because I'm at a loss.

I vape on a Vandy Vape Berserker MTL vape pen, and I buy the coils from elementvape.com or electrictobacconist.com. I vape salts, 24mg. This works BEAUTIFULLY for me. I'm satisfied, it's easy, I have zero interest in building things or using tiny screwdrivers or any of that. Maybe once all the little people in the house can use the bathroom without my assistance I'll have time to devote to coil building, but I digress....

So onto my issue... No one is selling the coils for this vape pen! It's out of stock everywhere and I am freaking out. I don't want to use pod systems, I live way out in BFE and don't want to constantly be waiting on shipments.

Can anyone tell me SPECIFIC devices to buy that 1. work with salts and 2. have coils that don't need to be built. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE?!?! And dumb it down, talk slowly, I don't know all the lingo of the cool kids.

Thank you guys in advance. You all were very kind to me while my mom was dying, and I appreciate it so much.

But with the way things are going with the FDA, I would at least get a Rebuildable Tank Atomizer (RTA) even if you Don't want to build your own coils right now.

Because when you Might want to, you Might Not be able to get one.

I've been thinking that too. In the very beginning, I tried with a mod that was given to me, ordered the wires and cotton and all the things. So many small parts, so much fiddling, and the thing leaked all over the place. Someone should start a coil building business where you can just send your stuff to them and they build all the coils for you. Any takers? :)

There is a learning curve, for sure, but I'm certain you can do it. You may have to lock yourself in a room away from the kids for a while though!

FDA rules wouldn't allow that. In years gone by, most vape shops would do that at no charge for their customers. But when the Deeming was finalized, this became prohibited and many stopped doing it.

That and stocking up on a lifetime supply of 100mg nic before May 2020 hits as well as mods that take replaceable batteries. Pens will be useless after a period of time.

I hear ya @jtbje. The problem with the coil building thingy is, as has been said already, that may well not be legal to do in a little while.

In the end, I guess it all depends on how much being able to vape means to you. If it's important to you, you need to become self sufficient enough to be able to continue to do it with the resources that will be available.

Best of luck with it :thumb:

Agreed. I've been saying for awhile now that anyone that wants to continue vaping should have at least 1 good RDA and 1 good mech mod and know how to use them. Also learn to DIY ejuice.

One thing you might want to look into is someone in your area who could get with you and give you some one on one as to how to properly make your own coils and using an RTA. I'm sure there are a few other vapers in your area that would be happy to help you out. You might be able to set up a little "knitting" group like my wife used to belong to.

Actually while I don't use those suppliers there are individual people that sell wrapped coils they're usually really crazy like out of this world builds that are really complicated or a really good quality and are expensive (relatively) though I imagine they probably last for a while.

I had the luck or now it's become a curse where the first time I build something it turns out perfectly like absolutely perfectly not a drop of liquid out of place and then the subsequent times I get worse and worse but at least they don't leak :)

I think it's a good idea though to just go ahead and get something just to have on hand sometime before May of 2020. You can just keep it on a shelf and maybe it'll just gather dust forever and you'll never need to use it or maybe you will need to use it and you'll be happy that you got it... sort of an insurance policy.

I didn't think I could ever build anything I was using an all-in-one up until a few months ago when I thought I should just get something to have on hand in case I needed it later on and then I fell down the rabbit hole and now I have a ton of stuff... well to me it's a ton of stuff!

I didn't even know what the terms were I didn't know what mouth to lung meant and I had apparently been vaping that way for three years so you're already one up on me :)
