(Please Help) Nasty metal taste on carto tanks.

I recently ordered these 3ml VCDC Tank - VaporCast and have tried, 50/50 pg/vg, and 100pg liquid, no matter what i'm getting a nasty metal taste... i have 4 of these tanks and each one its the same thing.

I do have other tank cartos and no issues.

I can't recall if I ever tasted something and thought that it tasted like metal. I've gotten the taste of "plastic" before.

No idea why these tanks would provide this flavor to you, especially since all four are doing it. And you have used other cartotanks, too. The tube is frosted, so more than likely it is made of polypropylene plastic, safe to use with all flavors. Not sure of the metal composition of the end caps. I think it is a re-branded Smoktech dct v2.

I've not bought from Vapor Cast yet, but they are recommended by a couple posters here and they have enjoyed excellent customer service. Throw them an email and see what can be worked out.

Are you talking about first time use?

I would give them all a good washing/soaking and then try again.

Also, buy different cartos to put in.........could be those that are the problem. There are a lot of brands to try.

some stuff takes a while to break in, too. I also wash everything before I use it. Esp. wicked tanks and clearos. I dunno what could be inside any tank during manufacture. I clean my clearos and tanks out before use, including a good wick wash. Got used to that from when they would put primer on stuff.

Yup, that was definitely it. Washed out each tank and replaced the cartos, now all is good....
