hello guys. Long time cigarette smoker, new vaper. I have been using the disposable E-cig for a week, and heard so many good things about the ego-twist i decided to buy one, and some juices...so far so good.

it arrived today, and rather than try and explain what i bought, please click this link and see for yourselves..
www.saferciggie.co.uk - VARIABLE VOLTAGE starter kit

I got some 18mg jucies with it..anyway, i filled up the tank things (see told you im new) and the problem im having is the vape is STRONG..i mean HOT and HARSH on the throat and lungs, it feels actually worse and more harsh on my lungs than regular cigarettes did. Now, is it simply because 18mg is too high? or is it something else. Oh and i have turned down the battery to 3.2 volts so its the lowest setting. Please can anybody help with this, im depressed because after two puffs it seems like my lungs cannot take anymore and it def isnt right. If anyone can help i would really appreciate it. Thanks a lot in advance.. Mark.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but the lowest resistance Vision clearos are 2 ohm.

A 2 ohm atomizer at 3.2V shouldn't produce anything harsh.

Sounds to me like the voltage dial on the eGo C Twist isn't functioning and is stuck somewhere near its 4.8V max.

Whatever it ends up being, try not to let this discourage you. Contact the online vendor to see what can be done to resolve this.

Hi and welcome to ECF. Do you know the PG/ VG ratio and how much did you smoke each day?
Is your wick on the Clearomizer short or long? The older outdated short wicks have wicking issues and need to be "twirled/ tilted" to keep the wick saturated.

hello man, thanks for replying. I have two ego twist batteries with this, do you think both of them wouldnt be working? because i have tried both and they are both the same. How would you tell if they were faulty?

Maybe you don't care for that particular liquid. Possibly it's all PG (a bit harsher) or the 18 is too strong for you. You could add a few drops of VG (vegetable glycerin). That will smooth out your liquid and also decrease the nicotine. If that seems to help, try liquid in varying nicotine strengths and different PG/VG ratios.

Ah...I wasn't aware that you were having this problem with both batteries. It's extremely unlikely that both are faulty. In that case, it's gotta be something with the clearo.

Do you have a brick and mortar shop nearby? If so, pay them a visit to see if they can help you troubleshoot.

god its damn near impossible to find them in london uk, everythins seems to be online. If i could find one, do you think someone will have a mouthpeice so they can try and vape and see what im talking about? do you think lower strength juice may help??

Can be anywhere from 2.0- 2.8 ohms....2.4 ohms is labeled as 2.4- 2.8 cuz these things aren't usually precise advertised ohms. Can be = or - .2+ ohms. I had a 1.7 carto measure out @ 2.2 ohms

You should be vaping either 12 mg or 18 mg at the very most. Your PG/ VG ratio could be the problem as PG is a throat irritant. So lower your PG/ VG ratio to 50/ 50 and get some 12 mg juice.
Here's the only 2 places I know of in London:
E-Cig Boutique
Main Mall,
Treaty Shopping Centre
Hounslow
greater London
TW3 1ES

Also:
Find your local Retailer / Totally Wicked

This may not be helpful but could you possibly be allergic to PG? It can happen, but is uncommon. Anyone here allergic to PG that could describe their reaction to it? It the symptoms are similar, then maybe the PG is the culprit. Just a thought......

As a side note, here in the us you can find some prefilled cartomizers at gas stations. Maybe somewhere near you sells them too? You could try one and see if it gives you the same result. The blu cartos are supposedly 100% VG.
