I am pretty new when it comes to prebuilt coils. I am looking for coils that feel very strong/sturdy, but I am not having the best of luck and not sure what material it is.

I had coils that said they were .25ohm and all it says is "KA1 WIRE + Ni80 wire" and they felt very sturdy/hard to pull the wraps apart etc....I am looking to find these again.

I bought what I thought were a good replacement for those, but they feel flimsy and easy to pull apart the wraps. They are .36ohm, 316l stainless steel, 30gx4/36g.

So apparently the stainless steel wires are more flimsy...I cannot seem to find coils that have KA1 + Ni80 like the sturdy coils I once had. I am trying to figure out which material/what I need to look for in order for the coils to be sturdy like the old coils.

Can someone help me out with this? Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Can you do an autopsy on the old coils?
What was the ID of the old coils? How many wraps?
Was it made with multiple strands of round wire or one or more ribbon type wires?
Was a single coil .25Ω or was that the reading on a dual coil build?
How many watts did you use with the old coils?
Where did you get the old coils?
Which device are you using? RTA/RDA/RDTA?

Cheers

There is no ID for the coils... here is an image of them. Not too much info... coil
Single coil is .25ohms.. at leas that is what the container said.
I usually vape at 23-27 watts
I got the coils from vapewild, but it appears they must be out of business now.
I am using an RTA.

Thanks a lot

This is them. It's a flat wire 0.8mm*0.2mm core wire wrapped with 32g wire. It's just called an Alien Clapton coil.
No idea if these company's are reliable, but they have them here:
    Pre-Built Clapton Coils by Alien
or you can get them from FT
