Ok, so as some of you know, I am supposed to be leaving for a relaxing beach vacation Friday. My MIL, SIL (+her two kids), DH, my mother, father, sister and I are the ones going. It was going to be a "joining of two families" vacation. We have a large ocean/beach front house rented where everyone had their own private bed/bath and balcony overlooking the crystal clear waters and white sand. Well, long story short...found out 10 mins ago that Hospice says my father's mother has only hours to days left. She has been sick for a while now, we've had 24 hour nurses staying with her in her home, and hospice has been in and out for about 3 months. My DH is already 4 hours away on his way to Boca Grande for a fishing trip, and was supposed to meet us in Cape San Blas on Sunday. So I'm home by myself (I do not do well by myself) with my two dogs. :( Please just keep us in your thoughts. :(

thank you! and to make it worse, my in-laws seem to think that I should just go on with them, and when she dies, pay $800.00 to fly back home...just bc my dh is a dentist does not mean that we just throw around $800.00 (on top of what we've already paid into this vacation) like it's nothing. I'm thinking this may be the closest I've come to driving to the store and getting a pack of Camel Crush Stinkies....tearing up my house looking everywhere for a bottle or carto of 24 mg or higher lol.

Brandi,

As someone who lost his father in a tragic accident at 20 and loosing my 2 year old daughter to illness 2 months ago, I know about grief all too well. Please stay strong. I will keep you and yours in my prayers. Just remember that you are never "truly" alone.

I am truly sorry for your loss. That breaks my heart. I will add you to my prayers also.

UN-FREAKING-BELIEVABLE. (Your in-laws, I mean.) This is your Daddy's. Mother. HELLO???

If you can't find that 24+mg juice, Brandi, just try letting out a few nice, long SCREAMS! (Put the pets out first.) It actually helps! Trust me!

I'll definitely try it. They (the dogs) know something is wrong, and they are driving me crazy too...maybe putting them out for a little bit and screaming will help...we will see.
