Responsibly and often! The vape industry is on the rise, but it seems public education is stagnant. If you've ever felt the "stink eye"of an uninformed observer while vaping, you know what I'm talking about. Now imagine being a vaper in Colorado or Washington State. I understand vaping is under fire (no pun intended) nation wide, but we, in the legalized states, face a myriad of challenges that most others might not be aware of. Please vape in public courteously and as often as possible. Answer questions about what you are doing and why if asked, but don't try shoving your feelings of unfair persecution down others throats. I feel the most effective way you can change someone's opinion is to allow them to come to the realization that vaping isn't bad on their own. Living in Breckenridge, I share lift chairs at the ski resorts with people from around the world. The most gratifying moments I have concerning public education is pulling out my PV on a lift and along if anyone minds of I have a vape. Two questions normally are asked. "What is that?", or "Can I get a hit of that?". The answer to both is the same. This is a personal vaporizer, and it is saving my life. That's it. Don't elaborate or give them your life story. Their curiosity will most usually lead them to ask more questions. Answer any questions you can add honestly and concisely as possible, but DO NOT MAKE UP INFORMATION. If you don't know, tell them that. Do not spread bad knowledge. It does more harm than you can imagine. Whether we like it or not, vaping is still a fringe endeavor and it comes with all the stigmas of any other fringe activity. We are the only ones who care if vaping becomes socially accepted or not. Please do your part to make the world of vaping less scary to the casual observer and everyone's lines will benefit from it. /rant

I totally agree with this. Not too many people come up to me when an ask questions usually, But when they do I do the best I can to entertain the questions that could be asked. I want people to understand more about vaping so they aren't so 1 sided about it. Were in a hard position right now and it's going to be difficult to get everything resolved. Best thing we can do is educate people when wanted, and try to help others who want it.

I work at TSA headquarters in Arlington VA. I vape openly in my cube and have answered questions about it with no negative feedback. My Branch Chief, the person that got me into vaping, vapes in his office. Our Division Director sits in close proximity to us and is fully supportive of it. I also vape openly at the train station and have answered questions about it with no negative feedback :)
