I've had a plume veil 1.5 since just about the beginning of their release. Up to now I've really enjoyed it and I've had no real issue with it to speak of. I've had it long enough to know it's ins and outs very well.
I understand that the whole gold plated deck thing can be an issue. Mainly because that gold plating can cause your wick to turn a shade of red as juice sits on it. Most of what I read while researching said that this was an issue with the clone, because the gold plating wasn't real gold.
Just recently this red hue has been developing on my wick. I, however, own the authentic (and I'm sure it is indeed authentic), and for as long as I've owned it, it has only been doing this for the last few weeks.
Does anyone know if there's a reason for this happening out of the blue while it previously hadn't been a problem? I did just recently pick up a vertex v2, so the plume has been getting less than regular use, meaning juice does have longer to sit inside my atty and build up red coloring, but the coloring can become apparent as quickly as over night.
Furthermore, does anyone know if there's a way to avoid or even prevent this problem? I don't particularly like the idea of how this red coloring might be unhealthy to vape.
