According to the last entry, followed by a lock, ECF seems to believe DaShiVa was scamming us. If the thread hadn't been immediately locked following that comment, I'd be more likely to buy it. Instead, they made a very harsh accusation, true or false, and left the accused no opportunity to defend themselves...

I know forums are not democracies, and I realize forum members do not have the same rights in forum world as they might in the real world, but that's sketchy at best. Kind of soured me to this entire forum, tbh. Not the v4l family. Or "family" as the moderator felt it necessary to spell it. Idk... Not cool.

I could understand ECF policing affiliate marketing in other forums such as the begginers forum but why it should be an issue to promote V4L in it's owm forum I'm not sure? well that was kinda the problem, people in the V4L subforum do post on threads in other sections of ECF...but it doesn't matter the issue was addressed, problem solved...

@Wader: thanks for the confirmation. i was sure that the infraction wasn't intentional on anyone's part...good to know though that y'all also take care of your affiliates

Problems, problems...got to the sig generator just fine this morning and got it set up. Copied the BB code it gave me and tried to paste it in the proper place and all I get is "invalid file".

Rose is just doing her job.The code isnt allowed in the sig.How many actually knew they were spreading an affiliate code for DaShiva?Nobody got in trouble,its just a heads up that the code was in the sig.I had no idea it was there.I click on those sigs all the time to get to V4L.Its fixed and no harm done.Dont blame Rose.She didnt put the code in your sig.Right?

Guys, let's not attack the mods... They have a hard thankless job. A rule was broken, the situation was addressed by Dashiva. The issue has been resolved. That being said, I'm closing this thread.

Good advice. Because if it continues, I will make sure a few people have a real reason to whine. And to those who have to complain about this forum and it's rules... there are other forums that may suit you better. Maybe you should check them out.
