Sig Banner: I didn't do it, I'm really annoyed, is it a TOS violation?

Look at my sig banner. Specifically look at the Zamplebox blurb that now shows up in my banner.

This just popped up all of a sudden in the last few hours. Apparently sincemylastcigarette.com is now going to insert ads not of your choosing in these banners. Right now it's Zamplebox. Who knows what it might be next week? If you click on my banner to generate your own you now see big ads when you go to the site to generate your sig code. So:

Does the banner now constitute a TOS violation, unintended by... well by me anyway? But for anyone who currently has this banner.

I'll be getting rid of this banner ASAP now. Don't use Zamplebox, not about to endorse it in my banner. Was just wondering what the implication is for sincemylastcigarette doing this to the banner, and us not having any control over the ads. There is no comment on their site as to where this is going.

Well, everyone who was using "that one" is gonna be in for a rude awakening now. lol And you guys are probably gonna get hit with 500 "What happened to my banner?" questions.

Adblock has been blocking that site for some time now. It was only a matter of time before they (the website in question) justified that action.

Really? I just looked, and noticed the ginormous thread for "that monthly service thing" is still open, but noodles to say the name of the place is now blocked. I can find it only because it's in my browser search history, but all mention of the name shows the usual dot-dot-dot-dot now. Didn't know they had been a longer standing problem.

I was wondering if what happened to the banner represented a bigger issue connected to that service.

Oh well, gonna go make me a Reos mods banner - as soon as I can figure out why the maths don't make sense comparing "old banner" to "new banner."

If it matters, "they" have mended their evil ways and no longer have the endorsements in the quit banner - it's back to to the original with nothing else showing. They have even removed banner option number three in "zamplebox green" from the site.

BTW: Did you ever find out if this was an "on purpose" thing they did, or did someone hack the site and add the zamplebox endorsement? The site just looked so weird - in a hack sort of way - after it happened.

I know. But the math on since-my... was more accurate than other banners allowed for. And I'm already endorsing CASAA in my sig.

I have a slightly different problem. My banner/ticker that I had for several years has completely vanished. I loved seeing how many cigarettes I have avoided and how much money I saved and how many years, months, days and hours since my last cigarette. Now it's gone.
Sigh....

But none provide the exact same information that the banned banner did, and that many people liked. For example, my current banner shows the time quit in days instead of months and days. A minor thing, but I liked the months and days a lot more.

As mentioned in the first post, they started advertising in the banner. Apparently, they've stopped the advertising now, and ecf is deciding whether or not they'll be allowed again.
