Jeez.. I remember the most expensive smokes I ever bought.. It was a few years back.. I think packs were about $3.75 a pack. where I was staying only had "natural" ones that were $7.50

I started smoking in the late 1980's when I was in the military, stationed in West Germany.

I was paying $5/carton for name brand.

At one time, stuck in nunavut (canada way way up north) I bought a pack (25) for 16.00$ (1.00 Cad = 1.00 us at that time) will never forget that one!

Here in North Carolina, I can get a carton of Pall Malls for $26.95. Highest I ever paid was at a hotel gift shop in Washington DC - $6.00 a pack, and that was several years ago.

The most that I have paid is $8.50 for a pack of Marlboro Lights. This was in a casino gift shop.

When I smoked I only would smoke camel unfiltereds and Kamel reds both are about 7.50 a pack. Most I ever paid was 10.00 for a pack in AZ. Only to end up hardly smoking it because it was too damn hot

The u.k. has got to have one of the biggest taxation policies on tobacco. A cheap packet of cigs cost over $9.00. If you take one of the cheapest brands at £5.90 .For Benson and hedges or another top brand you are looking at £7.50 or $11.50 at current exchange rates

When I went to the grocery store a few days ago, I checked the price, and Benson & Hedges Gold are now up to $8.79 in North County San Diego - with tax, about $9 a pack. Sure glad that's all behind me by 3+ yrs.

I spent some time in CT about a year and a half ago and paid 9.75 for a pack of Marlboro Lights while I was there. After doing that a few times and getting really annoyed, I temporarily switched to rolling my own. When I got back to Atlanta, it felt like I had won the lottery by only paying about 5.50 a pack. I paid about 6.25 for the last pack I ever bought in Feb of this year.

If I charter into unfamiliar territory I prepare ahead of time and buy cigs @ my reg place, which happens to be 5.25 pp (Pall Mall Menthol 100's). I don't think i've ever been in the position to where I've ran out in a place that has extremely high prices(Cook Co/Chicago).

When my "gift" gets delivered i'll no longer have to worry about it.
