I've participated in a lot of informative and fun polls since joining the forum. The problem is I can't always remember what the results were and I find it a bit tedious to hunt them down again after time passes. So, I was wondering if we could set up a separate Polls section/forum for easier access, regardless of the Polls topic. What does everyone else think? Would you find it helpful if polls had their own niche?

Personally, I think it should e-mail you, or notify you in a PM when the results are in, and you have participated.

Having a separate POLL area is great. Only allow polls there, and demand that those wanting to create one, just link to that separate poll, in the first posting.

The ability is there, through modification to the forum code. (Something similar may be setup in the options for this forum too. Not sure about this specific forum program.)

I think polls are AWESOME!! They need to stick where they are really because if they are put in one place more and more polls will be made and then subforums will spring up categorising said polls and SmokeyJoe will have so many polls he will not see where he is going and trip over the forum's powercord! I agree on the emailing when the poll is finished though!

Categorised sub-forums need not necessarily spring up?

As it is now it's a bit of a mess trying to find a poll, and also because as per my own post from the link in my post above to the post I made a few weeks ago:
As it is now, with more and more polls, they eventually get lost and forgotten about, pages back in whatever forum they're in. Someone may then come along and start a new poll similar to one that's already been done.
At least with a forum for polls only, one could check if a poll already exists before creating yet another one with basically the same questions...

Also, not all polls have an end date.

I love polls too and find them very helpful and useful. But my feeling is that they would be even more helpful and useful if they were all in one place where we can all find them with much more ease. People might then be less likely to repeat the same poll again and again because they didn't realise the same poll already existed somewhere else on the forum amidst several pages of topics... :)
