They need to stick where they are really because if they are put in one place more and more polls will be made and then subforums will spring up categorising said polls and SmokeyJoe will have so many polls he will not see where he is going and trip over the forum's powercord!
Categorised sub-forums need not necessarily spring up?
As it is now it's a bit of a mess trying to find a poll, and also because as per my own post from the link in my post above to the post I made a few weeks ago:
As it is now, with more and more polls, they eventually get lost and forgotten about, pages back in whatever forum they're in. Someone may then come along and start a new poll similar to one that's already been done.
At least with a forum for polls only, one could check if a poll already exists before creating yet another one with basically the same questions...
Also, not all polls have an end date.
I love polls too and find them very helpful and useful. But my feeling is that they would be even more helpful and useful if they were all in one place where we can all find them with much more ease. People might then be less likely to repeat the same poll again and again because they didn't realise the same poll already existed somewhere else on the forum amidst several pages of topics...
