Pollishing Question !

Ive read that most polishes take a thin layer of whatever material you are polshing off, so that would be true. How some people polish and polish there GG's and the serial numbers and gg wings start to disappear/fade. So I always keep my GGTS wrapped up in a soft cloth when I vape it so I don't have to polish it so much down the road.

But it seems like it does wear the layer of the body a little. There was a tiny, thin scretch on Alpha but it disappeared as soon as I polished it with Cape Cod lol.

Any recommendations on a chemical deoxidizer? Of something that does everything you've mentioned without taking too much off the nickel plating?

Yes, me too. Anymore info would be great. I will add I use a Sunshine cloth on the brass end caps of the SS GGTS. That's a jewelry cleaning cloth that I bought a few of to clean copper bracelets. Those tarnish quick.

I started to not wrap it up. The stainless steel doesn't tarnish at all compared to my old nickel one. I just have to polish the caps

How about the "Magic Wadding" found at, say, Wal-Mart in the automotive section. We used to use that in the military to shine stuff. Never hurt anything that I know of. Will have to read my can when I get home.

Cape cod cloths work wonders, I just polished up the caps on my ssggts. I also like my Mothers metal polish, it works very well also. I want to find a liquid though.

Flitz seems to work well on the GF' Aluminum, but it doesn't take long to get tarnished again.

Silent, let us know how that Mothers works out. if it has a protectant as well that would be perfect!.

Which do you use,
Flitz paste or Flitz liquid?

I've found just using a little polish at a time and doing just part of it at a time works great. Be very gentle and polish in a circular motion and take your time. Someone once told me it takes time to create that "WOW!" when you are finally done.
