It's actually really, really good.

The only suggestion I could make is perhaps making it a bit shorter, but I can understand how that could be difficult as it's so full of useful information.

It's almost like a Time magazine front page article. If I could digg it I would.

Excellent article. A suggestion if I may? Include statistics on the dangers of smoking in bed. Of course this would be eliminated if these smokers had vaped in bed instead.

Here is a reference:

Smoking causes only a small proportion of all fires -- about 6%. However, it is the leading cause of deaths in fires, accounting for about 25% of all fire deaths in the United States. (1) Smoking-related fires tend to be deadlier than other fires because they typically occur in people's homes, at night, when everyone is asleep. They usually start either when a person falls asleep while smoking in bed or when a lighted cigarette is dropped on upholstered furniture, where it slowly smolders for hours before starting a fire. There are about 140,000 smoking-related fires in the U.S. each year. These fires kill about 900 people and injure more than 2,000 others. (2)

Hmmm...good idea. Even burns to children, etc. I remember seeing a photo of Britney Spears almost burning her toddler with an analog.

Can anyone see where that would fit into the article? Anyone one to say something that I can quote?

Absolutely! Just as soon as the final tweeks are done! Working on some of the typos, spelling & grammar.

Cool. Do you want me to publish the work on PRWeb or are you? Either way is fine, but if you'd like me to publish it, I'd need contact info (email address, city, state, phone number (if you have one that you don't mind making public) etc. Phone number/address, etc is not nessisary, but adds credibility to the article.

And feel free to quote this:

"Banzaf, squeal like a pig.. SQUEEEEEEAL"

I'll see where that fire reference can fit.

Don't worry - it'll be posted somewhere where everyone will be able to digg it!!

Kristin,
EXCEPTIONAL JOB!!! Here are my comments/suggestions, referencing paragraph numbers (hope I counted right)

Para#4 - vapors often consider themselves...think it should be vapors consider themselves. I don't know of a vaper that thinks they still smoke

Para#9 - center part is fuzzy. Needs to say something like...cigarettes, while attempting to ban vaporizers....

Para#25 - for many tobacco smokers who switch

Para#28 - ...as cigarette smoke did and without ingesting the 4000 chemicals contained in traditional cigarettes.

Just suggestions. Again, great job!!!!

Changes made except for point #1. There are a lot of vapers that still smoke analogs and use ecigs just indoors, etc. I understand your sentiments, though.

excellent job...very informative, very unbiased, and I believe a simple education to the general public, could solve the issue with people "seeing smoke" and thinking it's smoke, when it's actually vapor.

Just a thought, I'd give the value of a bottle of juice to contribute to a fund, to pay for publishing the article in a large market paper or magazine.

No idea what it costs, but I'd gladly donate 15 bucks or something, I'd normally spend on a bottle of juice, to the cause.

How many other people would be willing to do that? 100, 300 of us? 500?

If 500 of the members here, donated 15 dollars, that is 7500. I would think you could take an ad out in a big magazine or paper or something, half page, or even full page for that kind of money.

According to the stats, we have 5440 active members. If every active member gave only 2 dollars....that's 11,000 dollars

.....I blow 2 dollars on losing lotto tickets once a week. 2 dollars by everyone, COULD help make us all winners....

Sorry for the tangent, but to me, anything is possible....;)

Just saying that since, in the FDA docket thread, I've seen it a few times, people have posted that the consumer/public needs to "cry" that by doing away with them, they are left with no choice but to smoke and die, kinda thing, and things like that have been effective before. Since the article is comprised of info straight from users of PV's, to me, it has merit in that department.

Now this is what I am talking about. Global cooperation. We may not have the big bucks, but we have the manpower (oops, need to be politically correct, PEOPLEpower ;)) to get the news out. And this is just one article.

Imagine what we can accomplish if we put our collective minds and resources together? Even the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers had to get together to create Megazord a few times to get a point across. :D

We have enough now to become as big as ASH if we wanted to. We just need to be commited to it.
