The eGo-T has been great for me and so many other vapers. I have read several times that the eGo-T has been superb since the user figured out some tricks to getting optimal performance out of the unit. If you have had any expierience with an eGo-T type a or b, and found something that prevented leaks, improved flavor of juice, have a favorite juice to use with it, found the best supplier, or made it even more user friendly then PLEASE POST ON THIS THREAD!!! I see lots of people suggesting that eGo-T users just switch to different systems, that is not helpful if we want to use an eGo-T. Thank you, and Happy vaping!!!

I'm very happy with my ego ts. :vapor. All I 've needed to do is use a sonic jewelry cleaner like once every 2-3 weeks on my atomizers. I have both LR and standard type a just because I like switching flavors often
Using a Sonic jewlery cleaner? What does this do? Is it easy to use, and how do i get one? is this a solvent to clean it or does it just use water?

Mine sometimes leaked with 100% PG. Mix in 20% VG and problem solved.

Get an LR atty for more vapor.

B is a little better than A, for me anyway. A little more vapor and twice the juice capacity.
I have been using 50/50 in my type b ego-t and it wicks perfect even though i am a heavy vaper. I had leaking problems with 100 pg as well, i know some people say that you shouldnt use any vg but as many users of the ego-t know, its a must!!!

remove the 2 tiny plates on top of the tank mouthpiece for a better vapor and flavour and less condensation inside the tank.
use silicon tank caps instead of the default hard plastic caps for a better seal to reduce chances of flooding/leaking.
draw heavier if you have dry hits, draw softer if you have too much wicking.

ournature - I'm trying to figure out what you're talking about when you say the "2 tiny plates on top of the tank mouthpiece". Not sure what you mean there. Also, where can I find silicon tank caps to replace the hard plastic caps on the tank which are quite irritating to remove...?

One thing I found that is quite 'vapor productive' is to take a short draw before activating the button to heat the atty. Starts a good solid wicking movement of the juice. Oh yeah, and definately do Simple CJ's mod. It works like a champ!

Thanks.

When looking at the tank at the mouthpiece, there is the top cap. By inserting a small pick and prying up it comes out . Underneath is a second plate slightly lower in the tank. Same method as before gently pry up. This seems to help draw. I think it purpose was to keep from getting liquid into mouth. I could be wrong.

I am daft .. please explain the CJ's mod??

I recently found the silicon replacement caps at health cabin. They seem to have the best price too. Vapin in the cape also has them. I also get my attys from mikeusa.com and have not had a single flooding issue, so with quality attys and silicon caps it has been leak free. i also pre-punch all my silicon caps, it gives the cap as tight of seal as possible.

I seem to have better luck and far less leaking with the A style tanks, when the juice level in the B style tank gets to about the edge of the cone leaking starts, that might be due to the larger amount of air in the tank pushing the liquid past the seal.

Another helpful fix that's worked pretty well requires you to make a hole punch out of a small diameter ink pen cartridge, a clean hole in your silicone caps works way better than the hole that's torn in the cap by the spike, the caps will last way longer as well.

some ego-c tips from sammy that can be applied to t's.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...le-ego-c-changeble-system-24.html#post4740084

My own t tips would be - don't powervape one eGo-t - split up your vaping time among a few - less heat, better viscosity, less leaks and burnt ejuice. Also the standard checks - make sure the cap is secure - snapped in on the plastic caps and make sure the tank is fully seated.

When the draw tightens up - drop the atty in 151 proof clear, unflavored cheap vodka (or everclear) for 30minutes tops. I don't dry burn eGo-t attys.

precut the tank cap hole:

cleaning vid:

eta: also as just noted in another thread - the lighter/fruit flavors can suffer with a higher voltage batt like the SE Riva or regular new Rivas as they run at 3.7v underload. The joye eGo batt at 3.2-3.4volts and regular ohm attys do best with the lighter flavors.

When I first started I was cleaning the atties all the time (seemed to be the favourite forum topic at the time), frustrated with no flavour. Well now that I've found 2 favorite flavours I just keep one atty for each of them. It is on a very rare occasion now that I have to clean them. I've been going for months on the same atties. And like a previous response said, it helps to alternate the usage between the two.

Also, (I didn't see this mentioned in this particular thread), is to keep the straight sides of the tank lined up with the straight sides of the metal plate inside the atty.

I've been able to prevent leaking pretty much completely by pre-punching the hole in my silicone caps, I use a metal ink pen cartridge that's slightly smaller in diameter than the attie spike, the spike is 3.04mm and the pen cartridge is 2.88mm.

After pulling the pen tip off I thourghly clean the ink out...then I mound a small diameter pointed round file in a vise, you'll want to use the top end of the pen cartridge as your hole punch, the end where the pen tip came out can be a little deformed.

Gently twist the pen cartridge on the file, quickly you'll have a nice sharp hole cutter, I place the caps top down on a 2 paper towel layer, just push down and you'll have a nice clean hole...don't twist to cut the hole.

As you probably already know, the attie spike doesn't puncture the cap cleanly, it kinda rips it, my caps have lasted way longer with this method.

I'm considering taking the sharp edge off the spike point with some minor filing, I believe It'll further prevent any cap tearing.

Hope this is helpful, works great for me, I rarely have leaks.

Just switched to the silicone caps on my T (type A) and immediately had a leak. I use the clear tanks and noticed that bubbles (5-10) were coming into the tank after every vape and that I was going through a ton of juice. I switched to another pre-punched silicone cap. The bubbling and the leak stopped.

Maybe watching for bubbles is a good way to see if you're leaking or not?

**If you get a leaker... it is the "wick" not seated correctly inside of the pin that goes into the cart that is causing the leak...without adjusting the wick you can get your old atty that stopped working and pop both center posts out and swap them and then no more leak..PM me if you need more details on how to do this

**Dry burnt taste...without hitting the button take a couple of drags and then without hitting the button blow into the cart slow and easy

**Better/Easier draw take a pin and pop out top of cart "small hole that goes into your mouth"..under that there will be another one..take the same pin and pull that out..then put top cap back on...
