G'day ALL.

This has probably been posted before, and will more than likely be posted in the future.

But during my short time as an ECF member I've constantly been impressed by not only the quality of information ECF has provided me, but also the conduct, and friendliness of the majority of members here.

I gave up the stinkies in May this year using simple evods.

Found ECF through google searches soon after and joined straight away.

Gleaned a plethora of vaping related information soon after, and have upgraded my vaping gear using this valuable information.

VERY Grateful!!

My internet background involves not only being a member of various personal interest internet forums, but also being a Moderator, and Admin of several..one of which I've been a Moderator since 2004.

So having been "behind the scenes" for over a decade I've been exposed to, and required to deal with a lot of forum related dramas revolving around unruly members.

Not fun at all!

In all those years I have never encountered such a large group of well behaved, polite, respectful, helpful, and generous people as I've found here.

This truly is a great community!

I Thank the Founders/Admins of ECF.

I Thank the Moderators, who's job is often a thankless task, no doubt given voluntarily.

And I Thank the Majority of ECF members for their civility, courteousness, helpfulness, and community spirit.

ECF is a rare gem on the internet...and should Never been taken for granted by anyone.

Thank You.

Phil :)

We HAVE to play nice with each other...
The moderators here at ECF are all heavily armed
:matrix:
I had heavy arms today when my new Provari Radius arrived. I picked up my Procyon in my left hand, and the Radius in my right.
Both felt heavy...but the Procyon was the heaviest....did that make me heavily armed as well? :D

LOL I've Always hated having to "ban" any genuine member and actively looked for ways to avoid resorting to that....although spammers got the flick quick smart, as they should.

There is one particular member of my motorcycle forum who has been a pot stirrer for years, but he is still there and has well and truly pulled his head in after our most recent PM sessions.
While he's an absolute PITA and has ruffled feathers for as long as I can remember, his serious contributions are of benefit to many other members..so I allow his continued membership.
My reasoning is it's all about balance.....but my patience wore thin a Long time ago and it's been a constant internal battle as to whether I hit the big red ban button or not.

Hence my appreciation for the often times difficult task of moderating a large group of people with a diverse mindset.

But You, and Your "staff" appear to have a much less stressful task here simply because the majority of ECF members are an incredibly well behaved, and respectful group of individuals.

A breath of fresh air...and I feel fortunate to be a part of it :)

As a longtime ECF veteran, I've had my disagreements with a few other members over the years. I always try to provide links that support my side of the disagreement. Once both sides of the discussion have been expressed, I've tried to avoid any further escalade of conflict into an outright argument by saying, "Then let's simply agree to disagree." I value my priviledge of being an ECF member to that of being a banned ex-ECF member.

The moderators do a great job of being both relatively tolerant yet stern when the situation calls for stricter measures. I've been a participant of many "closed threads" because of emotional outbursts on both sides. I'm still here, some of those others are not.
