No, I don't want anyone to feel rushed. These are important decisions and deserve the time it takes to resolve them. If we don't show it the time it deserves, we'll be right back here in months to come or worse, we will fail. I don't want to fail! The members love this and so do I, which is why I excitedly joined the endeavor. I'll stop in here as much as I can to try to keep up with what's going on but just wanted to make sure you all knew I wasn't rushing for the outcome.

Excellent! If we could change the one thing. The rule that makes the prevy ineligible for the contest if they are late.
Just that one rule changed, and have the options to have a Renewal of Rules and Regulations and make any needed changes come the first of the prevy year. That sounds about perfect to me.

Thank you, Joker. It will make it a lot easier to get it right, if we aren't rushed. I believe that like many have said before, if we change it toooo much in the middle of the year, it could prove to be a real PROBLEM. If we could change the one rule, the rule that makes the prevy ineligible for the contest if they are late...and make it retroactive ( /sigh yes, I know this is gonna be a stinker) and then have an all out restructuring at the beginning of the contest year, it would be better.

Anybody with a Google account can make a Google Document (text, spreadsheet, drawing, presentation, etc). Viewing of the document can be shared and also editing of the document can be shared.

yes, catt - there needs to be a safe site for the list that can be accessed by all of us. whis' dad is awaiting heart surgery, any one of us might have some unforeseen emergencies. we need to be prepared.
i'm not an advocate of everyone chipping in at the same time but rather a controlled rotation of short duration. then, if something happens it can be worked out.

Well, from what I can understand, (and I thank you all for being so patient with me since I am new) we have several problem areas, Atty. You and several others have said that if we change things too much in the middle of the year, it could cause serious problems. The one problem that we have, that I do NOT think it is wise to wait on, is the one about the prevy being ineligible for the contest, if they are late to the fireworks. [/B]. There are things that probably need to be changed now. Since Joker has given us time to get it right, I move that the things that can wait....and only you guys know which things, be tabled for a special time of Renewal of Rules and Regulations, with the option to change any that need changed, I think is something we should do when the contest is over, and maybe even every year after. Until it is total happiness for as many as can be accomplished.

Basically, I am asking Joker if we can have the option to redo what needs at the end of contest.

I realize there has been some unpleasantness, but if we could just all get over ourselves enough to speak plainly, it really would help.

morri - you misunderstood. people who fail to show up at their turning after they requested an avi party do not lose out on the monthly contests but they do become ineligible for the grand prize drawing at the end of the year. after all, to be present is a requirement of the avi parties.
