Yup! It's my favorite ring, although I use the others from time to time.
I don't get how the telescopic workhorse has an optional smooth lock ring, but the ela only has knurled. The knurling is one thing that I dislike and kept me from getting an ela.
To clarify, the workhorse telescopic comes standard with a knurled lock ring. We do offer separately a smooth lock ring that was originally for the ELA, but it also fits the Workhorse Telescopic![]()
ELA v2 titanium number 7! Topped with an erlkonigin and a super t new shorty satin tip, best combo ever its so light! I actually weighted the whole get up with a 350 batt inside including a kick a full juice in the tank vs my ss ELA with no batt no topper, only a kick inside and the titanium rig weights only 15 grams more! Incredible! View attachment 395408View attachment 395408
Thank you. Vaptamist also clarified after I posted and I also found an older post stating the same.
@snork, what are your thoughts comparing the 2?
Sorry, I can't compare the two. I like the knurling and did not purchase a smooth lock ring, and like the slanted and crosshatched knurling equally.
Just a heads up that we still have a few Titanium ELA's left. These are being sold below cost, so don't miss out. We'll get them shipped too in time for Christmas!
David, are these full titanium or just the body? Reason why I ask is because I would want the flat bottom button and a different top cap, along with the smooth lock ring and the spacers to cover the tele tube if using 18500/650 batteries.
Not sure if it would be better to get to or std with these options that interest me.
Thanks
All Titanium save the contacts, post holder and button slide. Body, Extension tube, cap, button, accents, bottom cap, lock ring all Titanium. I do believe we have a smooth, non knurled Titanium lock ring though if you'd like one.
You could also add Stainless flat button assembly and stainless top cap later, we're going to have a sale on them again. Gives it a cool subtle two tone look.

Do these have the traditional bottom button/switch and knurled accent rings? I prefer flat bottom button and no knurling.
Same sort of answer, unfortunately. Having three splendid ELAs, I see no need for a Telescopic WorkHorse. I can say I love the static WorkHorse though and imagine the Telescopic is a great value.Sorry, I should clarify; I meant a comparison between the ela and workhorse tele.
I have the flat bottom switch assembly for my Satin ELA V2...Yes I love the flat bottom non locking switch. That was until I received my ELA V2 Titanium with original switch/ with heavy duty spring installed... Awesome and it looks better with the original ELA locking button.... Buy yourself a ELA Titanium you wont believe how good it fells in the hand... Feather light weight...![]()

I laid it on its side overnight with no leakage, wick was wetter, i just burned it off, but it didn't leak due to the wick and airhole design. Thats not to say its immune to leakage, but its pretty hardy in our testing. I think people are confusing this with a genesis because of the SS mesh used inside the permanent wick, but it isn't a genesis, you don't have the tilt, feed and leak issues of a genesis and the airflow to the coil is much improved and also the SS mesh doesn't get gummed and burned up. The wick design in this feeds from the bottom of the tank and isn't exposed the whole way up.
