You can't take read the current at the posts like you you can with voltage.
To take an amperage reading the meter needs to be a part of the circuit.

To measure amps on an e cig you'll need an adapter. Something like this...

And a reading...

odd states clearly on my fluke mA/A.

edit: oh i know why, because im running the meter across my coils, which factors in resistance which gives me wattage.
Actually the coil saved the fuse in your meter. Depending on the model, exceeding 6 or 10 amps will blow the HRC fuse.

You fluke should have come with a manual. If not, all Fluke manuals are available for download... It's worth reading... Seriously.

That is very cool! Looks impossible to get. How did you get so lucky?

Anyone know of something similar out there, that anyone has some experience with?

See below.

I was lucky enough to stumble on the coop when it was running and snag one as well. Awesomely geeky little gadget.
Awesomely geeky little gadget is an understatement! Have you logged any PWM on a terminal application? Yeesh.
I didn't know you were on that coop, guess I wasn't paying attention. I also don't know if he's making any more (used to sell them on eBay), do you happen to know?

I don't have any PWM mods, but I've connected to the terminal a couple times just cuz :)

I don't. Hopefully he's working on some means of mass production - the demand is there if he can provide supply.

Just so you all know my sub ohm coil experiment is over.... I ran the 0.8 ohm HH on my Shockwave. it drew so many amps that even a big 26650 battery would heat up.. The Shockwave body would stay warm for a good half hour after using it... I am now am back to a 1.5 ohm HH and the body does not get warm at all... 0.8 draws way to many amps for my liking!

Yeah, I've upped my resistance a little due to mainly battery life. I aim for 1.0-1.4 ohms now and it appears to be the bees knees, for me! :vapor:
